Back to formation they all moved tightly. With the mighty Havery in front. While Hex stayed with Mizumi at the end of the group.
The red gap wasn't any different from the normal blue gap. The only thing he could say that was different was the location and atmosphere.
The ground was thick black, the flooring coated by ash and deep dark charcoal. The walls were crimson and boiling hot, with white vapors sizzling away.
They might occasionally see fountains of larva flowing down to little ponds or streams from a distance.
For those that wore armour, this was the gas cooker and they were barbecue.
"Hehehe!" Hex looked at the guy laughing so blissfully.
'Oh yeah that guy.'
That was the Cursed slayer who had an arrow pierce his head. Luckily for him, his thick helmet stopped the arrow before it could come in contact with his skull.
That's why people buy expensive stuff I guess.
Unfortunate for Hex....
'Just when I thought I saw the most dumbass death ever!'
Hex hissed. Hermock was in front too. It seems that he no longer desired any interaction with them.
He glanced back every now and again, as was predictable, with an obvious expression.
Hex had other important things to think about, so this hardly registered on his mind.
With the strategy of the team, the odds of him killing one orc was pretty slim. Because he was a protector not an attacker.
'Man, I really want to know how much Exp I get from this red gap cursed ones!'
However, they had not encountered a single soul since passing through the portal.
That was about ten minutes ago.
'A little mind tasking if you ask me.'
"Hey new guy."
Hex glanced at the wind Magus, who had previously attempted to halt the arrows.
"This is not a place for weak men who cannot fend for themselves. If you're doing this for the money then stop."
Wow, she sounded nasty and threatening.
Hex sighed, properly conveying the message. "It is very inspiring to hear that from a weak hag who can not deflect common arrows."
The lady flashed a grimace and said, "What the heck is your ability?"
This group and people that didn't respect personal info, if I catch their fathers...
"To kill stuff, give me something you want dead I will end it's life!" Hex responded directly, shifting his attention away from her.
"To function optimally, we must first understand each other's abilities!"
Hex nodded in understanding, "Fine, my ability is to..."
"What the hell?"
"Impossible!"
"A double path?"
The rowdiness and mumuring from the front caught their attention to it.
The path they took had linked into two identical pathways.
The only difference was the size of it.
The commotion and conflict rose from the frontlines as the discussion about what to do erupted swiftly.
Havery rolled in a tedious look across his face scanning through the two Paths.
'What an ill omen.'
Havery studied the paths more dumbfounded and away from the arguments of his men.
"What a troublesome issue!"
Havery turned to the man by his side wearing a total black outfit with a blue long sword scabbard on his back.
He looked well for his age and had a tiny frame to compliment his appearance.
This was Havery's right hand man, 'Sky.'
"What do you believe would be the best solution to this double path gap?"
Havery asked pressed for a reply to ease his decision.
"First of all, the only enemy we encountered were the orcs outside, so it is unclear which path to take!"
Sky paused to take a brief accumulation of Havery's expression.
He turned and continued without delay.
"If we chose just one and meet a dead end, the orcs might come from the other tunnel path and we would probably be trapped."
Sky spat a sigh of distress.....
"No matter how skilled we are, we aren't gonna make it all alive."
Havery shook his head processing the information.
A tight spot probably planned by the Master of the gap.
"Then we have to split up into two groups...."
Havery chuckled, "Team Sky and Team Havery!"
Sky didn't give a second of thought to this fact. He jumped right straight to business.
"I will take the weaker group and scout the smaller path while you take the great offense to the large."
It was only logical, the boss would be nestling somewhere in the largest tunnel rather than the smallest.
Still breaking up into two small teams was still dangerous.
Havery turned around to his team waving a hand and quieting them.
"We are breaking into two teams, all close combatant and a long ranged are coming with me!"
"The rest will go with me!" Sky spoke after scanning through the potential weaklings to take along.
It wasn't a problem being wrapped up with those weak ass Slayers as he was strong and daring.
"The protector dude and Mizumi accompanied by one long ranged shall follow me!"
'Man, the name catches on pretty fast!?'
Hex and Mizumi nodded in reply.
"Then I will follow!!!" Hermock said hastily.
Sky huffed out forming a disapproving expression on his face.
"Havery is going up against the boss, he would need your frequency, a few orcs won't be a problem..... That's why we're taking Hannah."
He directed to the lady with a spear tight in her grasp.
Hex puffed his cheek. This tiny alteration made his body very excited.
This wasn't proper. How could he be pleased in such a desperate situation?
Perhaps it was because they were divided into two teams.
'The smaller the team, the larger my opportunity to kill and gain Exp!'
***
As a result, the groups were divided into two: Havery's squad entered the larger tunnel, while Sky's team entered the smaller.
Now it was back to walking again.
Hex expressed an interest in speaking with the Phantom.
'Come to think of it, you have been awfully quiet.
{Phantom functions not available now}
{Phantom evolution 38/100}
{Locked message}
'What the hell is this.'
Hex was repulsed by what he saw. 'sometimes I don't even get your stupid ass.'
{If any of this above option doesn't change....}
{User will be dead in 4 hours}
'You say what....?'
