This was it, he needed to change the consequences of the conflict that would occur in a few minutes or less. His mother gets trampled by a cursed dragon.
That meant he needed to go to his mother before the dragons got there.
Hex turned his eyes to the sky, where the dragons were covering a huge area at an unbelievable pace and inconceivable speed.
If they kept going at this rate, they would get to him in a few minutes. This wasn't good...
Cracccckk!
Hex's focus was brought back when he heard a sound from below.
Crack!
There it was that noise from within the ground, something was there but what?
Hex observed the grave under him, which was pulsating as if something was attempting to dig out.
This information gave him a sense of dread, which he disliked.
He was too young to sense cursed energy but was sure it was a cursed one in the grave.
Running was the greatest choice if he knew what the Cursed one was; otherwise, it would be dangerous.
There were types of Cursed ones, Earth dwellers, Cursed Giants, Cursed Titans, Mammuns, Husks, and Devil's.
If he were to analyze the situation with his knowledge of the future this was either an Earth dweller or a Mammun.
An Earth dweller is a cursed human or animal corpse influenced by cursed energy, which is common during breaches like these.
A Mammun is a large, vicious beast capable of tearing apart the whole Outwood dorm without breaking a sweat.
'I usually run the other way when this happens.'
If this was a Mammun, reincarnation would be a complete waste of time.
'Shit, why can't I easily remember my situation until it's almost too late, or more appropriately when it happens.'
Hex's skin began to sweat in response to his ongoing tension.
He could not move an inch until he knew what was underneath him, and time was running out.
'If I pee a few feet away and it senses movement it would expose itself. Sounds like a plan.'
Bufffggh!
A black, rotten fist erupted from the grave's innards, spreading grit everywhere. This startles Hex for a second.
'That hand, can it be....?'
Hex began to back away from the odd hand.
'Why am I remembering this situation replay in my head now? This sucks!'
Hex braced himself glaring at the grave being torn apart to grime and dust as a being emerged from it.
Hex could now see the face of the Cursed One who stood before him.
It's skin was black and liquid-like, and it's mouth was packed with hundreds of razor-sharp fangs smeared in saliva. It had pitch-black eyes and a human-like shape.
This was an Earth dweller.
"Great, things are finally going my way," Hex spoke folding his fists for a fight, if he timed things well this battle would be his victory. "Come at me ugly!"
Hueehhhk!
The Earth dweller gave a battle shriek pouncing for Hex fangs first.
Hufft!
Hex rolled out of the path, avoiding the Earth dweller who smashed into the ground, creating a cloud of dust.
Hex rose to his feet immediately; he felt more drowsy than before, which made sense given his body's frail condition.
'Fuck! I am so screwed, I was planning on running but with this weak body I cannot outrun an Earth dweller easily!'
Hex swallowed hard on his saliva, robbed of his primary skill.
If he could not run as he did in his previous life, he would not last as long as he expected.
Or was this a cause of the dumb effect? Shit!
The Earth dweller swiftly recovered and charged at Hex again with remarkable speed.
'Damn, since I can't possibly run I will have to fight'
Hex curled his fist and delivered a punch to the Earth dweller as it approached him.
Bufffhk!
Hex planted his fist into the Earth dweller's water-like cheek with all the might he could muster driving it..... Wait, was he wrong?
The Earth dweller brushed aside his attack like it was nothing, tackling Hex to the ground.
"Haaauuukk!" Hex squirmed under the Earth dweller. He made a costly mistake overestimating his feebled strength.
Krieekk!
The Earth dweller dove its head down, biting down at Hex's face, but he caught it by the neck in time to stop its effort before the teeth reached his face.
'Damn, its breath is even more scarier than its terrifying looks!'
"Arrrrgggh!!!" As a coward reincarnating into a horror he went through before, the only and best option he could select now was to scream as loud as his lungs could carry till someone heard.
Clamp!
The Earth dweller bit down again, almost breaking his defense, which jolts Hex.
"Help! Heeellllpppp! Arrrrgggh!" Hex had a pretty decent notion what the third bite would do.
Apparently, the power would break through his defenses and allow the Earth dweller to dig its fangs into his attractive face.
'Man, I can no longer put up with this stench while holding this monster up, don't the dead brush?'
Bufffhk! Bufffhk! Bufffhk!
Dozens of graves began to shatter with other Earth dwellers emerging from it.
"Fuck!" Hex panicked, if those Earth dwellers joined this party he would be bones in seconds.
Bufffhk! Buffk!
'This time when I die, maybe I should just go to the afterlife peacefully....'

Fwuuullp!
Hex's resistance came apart in a motion too rapid for him to grasp, triggered by his free will rather than the Earth dweller.
His right hand sprang up as a clinched fist, landing on the Earth dweller's face.
Krieeecchk!
The hit dazes the Earth dweller to Hex's surprise making it lose a bit of interest in him as all its attention was glued to it's face.
Wulllp!
Again Hex's body moved itself sending a much powerful elbow up at the Earth dweller's face.
Hufffgghk!
The intensity of the strike causes severe agony to reverberate through the Earth dweller's body, prompting him to leap off to avoid further damage.
"Krieeecchk!"
'Shit, what was that new reflex action? There is no time I better do what I know best!'
Hex rose to his feet in an unpleasant position that he detested.
As far as his little eyes could see, almost every grave had given birth to Earth dwellers and all attention was on him, the last piece of cake left.
"Fuck I should have gone bald!"
