"What?!" Ossa exclaimed, his dark green eyes bulging in shock. "You mean... I left her alone for a...a ...day?"
[Yes.]
"Huh... And you didn't tell me. No wonder she is behaving like this," Ossa held her tightly. "Bel... I'm really sorry." Like a sob, his wolf-like vocalization echoed in the dark den.
Without saying a word, Bel tighten her embrace, relishing in the breeze that came off him.
Unknown to him, he had acquired a similar skill to that of the jackalopes' wind barrier. A humanoid wind coat surrounded his body, a skill that was created because of his wish for a body, a body to make his master more comfortable.
"I'm really sorry, Bel... I didn't know," he continued to apologize, stroking the little girl's hair gently.
"It's... OK... You... Came... Back," softly, Bel spoke, her words almost inaudible.
The two remained in the same position for a couple of minutes before Bel let go of him.
