Even though Sophie followed her coworker without saying anything, she was suspicious of her intentions, as nobody in her friend circle knew her workplace. Although this was a different topic, her friend's circle was pathetically small.
Upon leaving the building, both the coworker and Sophie stood still in shock, but the reason for their shock was different.
Her coworker was shocked because two dashing young men wearing sharp black suits in a Kentley Continental car were standing there waiting in front of their office for her rival. Even though she had seen them before before bringing her rival here, her shock did not lessen at their handsomeness and wealth.
As for Sophie, she was shocked because she had never thought in her wildest dreams that she would meet these sons of the bitches in front of her workplace. Meeting them at her workplace was not a problem, though the problem was that she was in hiding and nobody knew her location.
' These suckers must have tailed me.' At this thought, her eyes narrowed dangerously as she walked toward them, ferociously startling the co-worker standing next to her so much that she fell on the stairs.
Her co-worker looked toward the men with hopefulness, but she was bound to be disappointed as their eyes were only on Sophie, and speaking of Sophie, she also ignored her co-worker.
With her eyes narrowed to a slit, she questioned them, filled with justified anger, as she dug her finger into the man's chest.
"How did you find me, Kunal, you sickening bastard?"
"Well, well, well, As your guard was down, I simply ordered my men to tail you and dig into your files a little. It was surprisingly easy." Kunal shrugged with an innocent expression on his face as if the person recounting the crime was not him but somebody else.
After quickly greeting Sophie, an old friend, Sam, who was standing just next to his friend Kunal, decided to sit in the car to hide after hearing his friend's outrageous response. To further hide himself from the flabbergasted eyes of Sophie, who was questioning his mental being, he buried his face in his hands to avoid second-term embarrassment.
' This is not how you greet an old friend who is also your ex and childhood friend.' Sam criticized his friend's way of handling things while mentally preparing himself to avoid any responsibility.
Sophie, who also looked just as flabbergasted and waxed as Sam, glared at Kunal with folded hands, expecting an apology or explanation from him. But she was met with his continued innocent facade as if he didn't understand what was wrong.
Suddenly thinking of something horrendous, she panicked and started looking around her in fear as she questioned her ex-lover in a voice that trembled in fear and shock.
"Did you inform my bloody family that I live here?" Her colleague, whose name we are not going to share as she is not important enough for that, looked at Sophie, who was quivering ever so slightly after mentioning her family in disbelief. As far as she could remember, Sophie was someone who always appeared calm in every situation.
' Her family must be really strict for her to behave like that at the mere mention of them. It's going to be so interesting if I could hear their talk and share it.' Her colleague rubbed her hands in gleeful excitement. She was excited, as it was her chance to finally gather some dust on the pristine lady of the office.
Excited, She, not so sneakily (she thought she was being sneaky), tried to hear their conversation in broad daylight.
Even though they both knew their privacy was close to being breached, they didn't panic, as they had full faith in Sam.
Sam, who was hiding in the car and peering at them from the gap in his hand, glared at that bitch (Sophie's colleague) in annoyance because he didn't want her to ruin the show and forced her to run back into the office.
Unlike his usual handsomeness, Sam's face transforms into a scary and murderous gangster whenever he gets angry; it is a miracle that she didn't shit her pants at the sudden sight of it.
Back to Kunal,
Kunal was savoring his ex-lover's annoyance by acting oblivious to Sophie's antics, but hearing her accuse him of something uncouth as helping her father left him stunned and silent.
Even in his wildest dreams, he never thought she would link him up with her father, that old geezer who neglected his past family after marrying a new one.
"Hey, I know that I am not a good person, but that doesn't mean you should link me with that old geezer. If not for me hiding your steps, he would have found you already." Kunal shouted at her in mock anger, all the while chuckling to himself. He was not angry at all after all, and his past reputation was not exactly pretty good.
"It's not my fault that you can do anything for money," Sophie muttered under her breath, feeling apologetic now that her anger had calmed down.
Her anger had just calmed down when his words finally entered her brain, and her apologetic words, which were coming out of her mouth in a few seconds, froze in there as she gulped and asked him as calmly as possible.
"You just said that you have been hiding my traces from my dad for a long time." Kunal, who had been waiting for this moment, smiled widely. "Yeah, I have been stalking you for a long time, and hiding your traces and protecting you from your dad was just an extra."
Kunal bonked her head playfully, fully intent on angering her and forcing her to make a scene. Sophie was going to do just that but stopped as she looked at his eyes flashing in anticipation and Sam, who was looking at them, annoyed and intrigued by their useless banter.
"If you knew where I lived for a long time, then what's with the sudden appearance?" Sophie's confusion about his sudden appearance was not wrong. They had a pleasant relationship, which many people might be envious of, but their breakup was not a pleasant one, and that could be proved by how he avoided her even though he knew where she lived (that was her own opinion).
"Well, I have no other choice; after all, I have to thank you for helping my mother even though you didn't want to." Kunal shrugged innocently and interrupted her before she could speak. "My mother was the crazy makeup lady you met in the park, and I apologize on my mother's behalf for destroying your so-called paradise."
Sophie nearly threw her fist at Kunal's smiling face but dropped the idea as soon as she remembered his violent past.
