"Oh, Almighty God, Master of All Creation, Lord of The Holy Temple, I plead unto thee to hear thy subject's prayer." A whispering voice reached His ears as He listened to the poor soul.
He looked deeply, and arrived within a cold, dark, and damp prison. Poorly maintained was the best thing one could say when looking at this place.
In the middle of said prison, an unkempt man was kneeling, hands clasped so tightly that his knuckles and fingers were turning white.
He was wearing a gray cloth, presumably a white one before he was thrown inside this hellhole.
The man had his body facing the only window of the cellar, muttering, pleading, praying. He was desperate enough to call upon the greatest ability that humanity had obtained after the restoration from Chaos; The ability to call upon the Most Holy in their need.
"I, Enoch of the Lineage of Adam, present unto thee my life and my soul, my honor in every battle I have faced and shall face. I offer up my family's allegiance to Thy Divinest, Most Holy Throne. I just ask thee to grant us mercy and salvation!"
Boom!
Enoch's mouth was widened as he saw the cellar window slowly crack and fold itself out, as if giving way for something. Then, a bright, holy light shined down upon him.
"I have waited, Enoch, son of Hared. Thou hath proved thine faith, and hereinafter, thine family shall be saved." A deep and powerful voice resounded.
Enoch let out a loud gasp but quickly covered his mouth, fearing that the captors would hear him.
"Doth not feel fear for I am here, my child. No mortal nor demons nor the Nephilim would hear us here."
In an instant, Enoch's fear was lifted, which made Enoch believe even more as he bowed and praised and thanked Him.
"Thine fate is to be executed by the Nephilim, and that fate is absolute." Hearing that, Enoch's heart jumped, but fear couldn't take over his heart for his heart was protected in His care.
"I thought Thy Most Holy were going to save us?" Although Enoch wasn't afraid, he still became saddened by his fate.
"Child, doth not feel saddened, for death shall not be thine fate." The only thought that the man had in his mind was confusion.
"Child, doth not feel confused, for the workings of the divinities is beyond that of the mortals." Then, all the doubt was washed away from Enoch's heart. He became confident of his faith for his God.
"Do what Thy Will is for my soul, Almighty." Enoch slowly lowered his head and relaxed his body, as if he was already handing his entire being over to Him.
With his head lowered, he felt a hand holding his head, and felt comfort as if he was being caressed. "My child, thine death in this mortal realm is thy fate, but after that is something that is already at my behest."
"Through thee, I shall demonstrate my authority over all creation and remind the demons who threw them out of my Holy Temple." After saying that, the light slowly retreated and vanished without a trace.
Enoch raised his head, and saw the once ruined cellar window now look as if nothing happened to it. Enoch felt as if he was dreaming before, but upon a closer look at the center bar of the cellar, a complex hexagonal symbol with lines connecting to another hexagon and another one almost infinitely.
Seeing the evidence of His existence, Enoch prayed with greater efforts.
Soon, the hour of his execution was nigh. Two human guards marched to his cell and looked at him. "Poor thing. Just because he refused to sacrifice his family to Lord Akhirus, he is being punished through death." One of the guards sighed. Hearing him, the other followed.
"Thy need not show pity on me, fellow human." Enoch spoke without fear, "My God the Almighty shows confidence in me and grants me His strength of will. His Infallible Will shalt be done."
Listening to him, the two shook their heads even more, "What a pity, really. The man hast already gone mad, worshiping the god of the fallen lands." The two then picked him up by his shoulders and chained his wrists before leading the way to the outside through a tunnel.
There, the screams and cheers of the people, the demons, and the Nephilim were evident even before they got out.
When they did come out, Enoch saw a huge coliseum filled with humans, demons, and Nephilim. Looking around, Enoch saw his wife and child, looking at him filled with worry.
Enoch only smiled at them and mouthed, "I am saved." His family was confused, considering that he was inside the slaughterhouse.
Their gazes were halted when suddenly, above, the sun was blotted out by a huge and bulky figure. On its head were three huge goat horns, and on his face were three glowing yellow goat eyes. Its feet were that of a goat's while its scaly hands were reminiscent of that of a lizard.
Its goat eyes were staring at Enoch when he got out of the long tunnel. Just below it, a man wearing a ritualistic outfit of bird feathers and beast teeth danced and waved his staff with a skull on top of it.
"Oh, Great Lord Akhirus, accept this offering of thy slaves and give us the food to prosper and people to please ourselves! Hear us, Oh Great Goat Lord!"
Splat! In an instant, a huge claw nail descended and pierced the dancing man straight to the mouth. Blood splattered like crazy as the man was separated into two.
Silence spread throughout the field. One would expect that this would last a long time, but in just a second.
"Yeah!" Cheers, clapping, and whistles reverberated across the coliseum, shaking its core. Instead of fear, what the people felt was excitement.
Looking at what's happening, Enoch whispered to himself and to Him with a look of depreciation, "Oh God Almighty, what hath happened to thine lands?"
