Mingshen turned and saw Jia clear her throat as she came to return his phone. "I talked to Huojin."
He snatched it back from her and sneered. "Do you feel more enlightened now?"
Jia awkwardly scratched her head and said, "I am sorry I couldn't understand you."
He scoffed.
"But in my defense, you gave too few clues."
"It's your job to decode."
"Decoding isn't necessary for a thank you," she smiled. "Thank you for keeping my badge with you. Now I finally understand your intentions for shopping with me."
Mingshen looked away, apparently still dissatisfied that the cat was out of the bag.
Jia raised her brow. "Are you being shy?"
He looked at her in horror. "Spicy, the leap in that thinking worries me. Are you doing drugs? What is wrong with you? Are you having a fever?"
