For her, the first art that she should learn and know was embroidering and sewing. Knowing how to make clothes even by hand or by machine was a must.
Every single day, human beings needed to cover their skin with clothes. No matter what, a person should be dressed, and she had seen the importance of that.
So, she took sewing seriously, which was why she did her best to learn as much as she could. Now what was left was to put the theory into practice and hope that she would be able to come up with something good.
Knowing herself though, Zara felt that there was no need to worry much. They had homeschooled her for nearly a decade. So why should she fear such a small task?
Moving at a snail's pace, Zara began to sew the hem, making sure that she didn't harm herself.
With no sound of anyone talking, only soft music accompanied the ever-serious girl on the screen.
The visuals were very calming and brought people a sense of satisfaction.
Only a few viewers were busy commenting, but the majority were either listening to the music while doing their chores or checking Zara's progress at the same time.
Sewing such a small thing would probably take thirty minutes or so, but for Zara, who had never done anything so strenuous in her life, what she was doing was truly the hardest thing ever.
She indeed took her time, but she was enjoying every process. And the more she did it, the more she understood the right way to move and sew.
So, under the watchful eyes of many, Zara finally finished the first round in two hours.
When she was done, she raised the semi-finished hanky and raised it for the viewers to see.
The way her eyes were sparkling as she looked at the screen, anyone could tell that she was looking for praise and they didn't hesitate but complimented her.
As two hours had already passed, Zara wasn't feeling comfortable, so she called for Emma, who came and carried her away before bringing her back several minutes later.
Ava appeared and stuck that drip into her, which provided her with nutrient solutions.
With food being sent to her, Zara became more energetic once again. As she couldn't talk casually, she signed while the translator translated what she was saying to the people who were watching her.
ZARA: Today, I want to do my best to finish this hanky. So, bear with my pace. From tomorrow onwards, I think that my speed will be much better compared to today. Thank you for staying with me and accompanying me.
Zara understood how lonely it could be when one is lonely. And watching a live stream where the host wasn't saying anything, she understood the pain as well. So, seeing that she had plenty of viewers still with her despite not having talked much, she felt grateful.
[You are welcome. Besides, we are also learning.]
[Seeing how proficient you are at sign language. How about you give us a few lessons when you have time?]
[You have done pretty well for a first-timer.]
Reading the comments, Zara felt blessed to have such understanding fans. One day she was going to reward them and never disappoint.
After chatting with the fans, Zara resumed sewing and this time, she wanted to try embroidering.
As it was her first time sewing, she didn't want to complicate things and do stitches that would drive her crazy.
She had crammed several stitches ever since she knew by heart that she wanted to make something for her family.
And the stitches that she was confident about were running back and chain stitches. So, for the embroidery part, she began to use the chain stitch. She wasn't embroidering anything fancy since she didn't know how to do designs.
Instead, she was simply embroidering some name initials for her family members, that's all.
And since the first hanky didn't seem to be that pretty good, she decided to give it to someone who would tolerate everything that she did.
With a playful smile on her face, Zara busied herself.
Of course, everything that she was doing was being watched, especially by her family. Knowing how those people would freak out after seeing the initials she would be embroidering, even her speed increased.
Watching the broadcast at the moment was Quinn, who was currently sitting lazily in the private jet as it flew to a nearby city where Zara and her entourage would be arriving in three hours at the speed the motorcade was moving.
Seeing that glint in her eyes, he knew immediately that she was up for some mischief.
He didn't know what she wanted to do, but whatever she would be doing, he was already rooting for her.
Knowing that she was putting her health at risk to make hankies for her family members, Quinn was envious. He was the one that grew up by her side and knew everything about her and yet some other siblings were about to benefit from his hard work.
How he wished for that hanky to be his.
He was curious to see who would be fortunate to get the first piece. It didn't matter if it wasn't well made. The knowledge of it being the first was what makes that black hanky very precious and priceless.
He was greedy for it and wanted it so badly. But unless the princess wanted to part with it, no one would force her to do anything that she didn't want.
Just like how he was also unable to convince her to stop going on this trip. He could only just accede to her requests and made sure that he upped the security even if it meant using that power from that side.
If he couldn't even use it for her, then where else was he going to use it?
For her, he was willing to do anything. And that was more so in the few months that were approaching.
He was going to go all out.
