Calix propped one elbow on the swivel chair's armrest, supporting one side of his face. His gaze blankly stared at the closed door of the room.
Leslie's voice continued to echo in his mind, followed by the look of regret.
"I dreamed of Evelyn getting cheated... on by her hidden lover."
"I'm sorry, Calix... I've been wanting to tell you this... but I kept delaying until now..."
