Chapter 4 - My only ouija experience

As those who have read my stories know, I come from Cape May, NJ. my dad was a scalloper and our family knew many other fisherman and their families. 5is story is about a ouija board experience. The people involved were myself aged 8, my sister aged 12, my sisters friends (not real names) Suzy, Nikki, and Sam (sam was my age and friend). Susie's father died, while scalloping, and we were attempting to contact him through the ouija board. This was my first and only experience using the ouija board and I highly recommend others never using one, for it is extremely real and dangerous. The following is 100% true and potentially triggering. The night my sister and I went to her friends house was during the fall. I remember that because my dad was away fishing and the air had a chill to it. My sister had to bring me with her because my mom did not trust she wouldn't do anything bad with me present. This particular day was the 1 year anniversary of the passing of Susie's father. The day seemed like any other day with friends. It was the 90's, so lots of outdoor activities and bike riding. When the night came and her mom off to bed, the 5 of us decided to use a ouija board to contact susie's father. I thought the idea was BS and would not work, when my sister explained to me the concept of the ouija board. We all sat in the floor of the living room. Suzy had a picture of her dad of his boat and placed it on his favorite chair. We lit 5 candles and sat around the board. It is important to note, everyone took this very seriously, including myself, because I was curious. Suzy started by, asking permission to any spirits in the area, if we could contact them. I barely was touching the planchette when the planchette inched toward the yes response. From other stories I have heard everyone usually giggles and assumes other are messing around and moving it. Not with us we all knew it was a force whom moved the planchette. Suzy proceeded to jump right to asking about her father, I will call him mike. "Is Mike my father present?" She asked. This is when things picked up the planchette began to move in a weird pattern for about 30 seconds (I later found out it was an infinite symbol pattern) then it landed on yes. Suzy then asked (make sure it was him), how he died. This is when the planchette began to vibrate, ever so slightly, to the point we all took our hands off and that is when the planchette flung from the board (her father fell off the boat after a piece of equipment hit him off and he got sucked under the boat). We all froze in fear and were fixated on the planchette, that lie on the floor of the living room near his chair. When we turned back to look at the board we saw Suzy, sitting straight up and stiff as a board. Her eyes were rolled to the back of her head and blood dripped from her nose and ears. She was whispering unintelligible words in a rhythmic way. Then one by one each candle began to burn out until the last candle remained (the one by Mike's chair). I imagine normal people would freak out and run, but it was as though we were frozen there, by some force. That is when we heard a loud scream coming from susie's mothers room. She opened her door and came running in the living room and saw what we were doing. What happened next is a little difficult to explain so bare with me. With her mom frozen at our seance and her staring intently at Mike's empty chair, we had the feeling she was seeing something we were not seeing. The next thing I remember is waking up in the living room with everyone, except Suzy. When we all came to, we looked for her and found her and her mom at the dining table, looking like they were still in a trance. I remember my sister calling my mom to pick us up and my mom trying to talk to them, to no avail. 3 weeks later Suzy and her mother died in a car accident, that was ruled a suicide.
