Chapter 29 - Academy: Refectory hall

In a brightly lit refectory that stretched at least a few hundred metres wide, a cloudy magical haze covered the entire refectory except for its pristine white, red carpeted floor.

The Royal refectory was a space created from magic and was a separate pocket dimension created by the Chairwoman of the [Ipardmerth, Academy Of Sins], and it indeed was a space within the academy, which was filled with similar dimensional spaces, each unique from the other.

Filling the refectory were cadets who were participating in the day's tournament to earn some points and gain an head start in their days within the competitive academy, where they were taught survival instead of cooperation and compassion, since their sins stood in their way and rendered them incapable of either expressing or accepting those emotions.

And those, other than commoners, had their uniforms modified as per their styles and tastes. But, even commoners could alter their uniforms as per their tastes since the uniform had been [Artefact(ed)] with a 'shape altering' magic add on, but till the cadets learned to manipulate and channel their own energies, the feat was impossible to achieve, hence sinners exclusively hired for these jobs helped them with altering their uniforms on a daily basis.

Lustrous, sensual, and exposing ball gowns and maxi(es) were seen donning the women while comfy, track, formal, and blazed uniforms were donned by men.

At the northern end of the hall laid circular elated platforms which were called [Teleporters], numbering in tens while each guarded by a buff and intimidating sinners, who had cold and indifferent expressions marring their faces. To the west were similar [Teleporters], but these lead to private rooms to engage with intimate activities in accordance with their fetishes. While, on the east laid a line of servants who provided cadets with wines and beverages with light or heavy meals ordered according to their, the cadets, tastes. And, if walked to the south where only one [Teleporter] laid, they'd be able to find their exit from that dimensional space.

And,

For convenience, if anybody needed to lean back against a wall, that didn't exist in that dimensional space, while enjoying the company of their own, all they had to do was reach out for the magical haze at a side and make contact.….

Immediately upon coming in contact with the haze,

[[List of convenience] has initiated temporary connected with the [Neuro-SIM]]

[Do you wish to except?] [Yes/No]

Was what it'll notify them, asking them for their confirmation. And after confirming their intention, they would be able to either walk away from the spot to make themselves comfortable else where, or just select one of the options and remain there.

The available options would be,

[Wall]

[Beanbag]

[Couch]

[Chair]

[Recliner]

[Water bed]

Of course, the comfort the said options would provide would be otherworldly, since it indeed was an otherworld.

Among many who expressed their own desires for a comfort zone, a couple stood with a dazzle.

Leaning against a wall with a glass of wine in her hand was a beautiful silky jet black haired woman with an irresistible allure that was heightened by her hourglass figure and her royal blue maxi that resembled the sky with its stars shining for attention.

Crowning her ponied, jet, silky black hair were a pair of impala's horns that peered up, giving her an succubus' allure which was only enhanced by her brilliant, cold yet aloof golden eyes that gazed at everything with indifference. On her lust enticing neck that called forth desires intense, jaws of a shark that bared its fangs in greed was seen tattooed in golden, while just beneath her modesty elongated ear laid a slot for her own unique [Neuro-SIM].

Next to her was a charming young man, whose hair was dyed pure white as in to express his innocence, while his blood crimson eyes that resembled the colour of love and ominousness expressed their adoration and hesitation when facing the woman next to him.

His uniform had been altered to resemble formals for the first, innocent date where he did his best to wear colours that twinned with his partner's. With ironed white shirt, he wore a royal blue formal pants for the occasion, yet stood hesitantly by the woman side with his human ears dyed red.

Gazing at the couple from a few feet distance, leaning against the wall was a silver haired woman with a lustrous hourglass figure. Her lazy yet adamant silver lashes fluttered as her lazy gaze gradually saddened while her mind drowned within the thoughts and worries of her own.

She donned white comfy yet baggy pullover with a fluffy blue furred rabbit embroidered over it while royal blue skin tights hugged her slender legs.

With a beauty mark beneath her lip and a dull golden tattoo of a lazy feather on her neck, she sipped the wine, elegantly.

'[Royce Aylmere] and [Scarlet Sunniva]….. they should be the main characters from the novel, considering their fitting descriptions and how they attract the attention of the world which remained indifferent to the rest of the beauties of this place which far exceeded the beauty standards from back on earth….' Iria Stidolphe thought.

The more she gazed at Scarlet, alias Scar, the more insecure she felt, unaware of her own beauty that wasn't short for the main characters'; even forgetting the fact how the novel described her, Iria Stidolphe, the villainess, as a beauty whose allure and charm that comparatively exceeded those of the female lead, Scarlet's.

'…..Will he really leave me for Scar according to the novel?' While her mind lingered over those poisoning thoughts,

[DING]-!

[Iria Stidolphe has been matched against Brynlee]

[Please step into the [Teleporter]]

Her [Neuro-SIM] notified her with a soft chime and an interactive interface pop up in front of her chest, while a guiding arrow lit up beneath her feet, and soon, a fae servant walked towards her with an empty tray to take the glass of wine in Iria's hand while following behind her was another servant who bowed at Iria before leading towards the [Teleporter] which had lit up, for her.

After guiding her, the servant bowed at her again before walking back to the hall while the guard guarding the [Teleporter] politely pointed his palm at the platform, asking for her to stand on it.
