Chapter 3 - Daniel’s Point of View

"Hey, locker buddy," I heard a voice to my left. I turned to see a guy leaning on the locker beside me.

He looked to be about 5 '9-5' 10, with black wavy hair, light blue eyes, and olive skin. "Of course, your locker would be near mine," Ji Hoon suddenly spoke up from my right side as he turned to us.

"Hey, Choi," the pretty boy said sharply as he stood up straight, "Hey, Snow." My cousin responded with a sarcastic smile before turning to me, completely ignoring 'Snow'. "Come on, let go before we are late on the first day," Ji-hoon said before pulling me along, "Hey, Puppy Eyes, what's your name?" the pretty boy called out to me from behind us.

"Leave my cousin alone, Damian," Ji Hoon called back, dragging through the hall and weaving around students.

"OK! Who was that? I've never seen you so mean to someone before, Hoon." I said with a laugh.

"Damian Snow, school troublemaker, and Flirt. Mikasa's ex-boyfriend," he responded to me before pausing in front of his class.

"OK, so we don't like him," I said in disbelief. "Yep, so shut him down when he flirts with you because he will," Ji Hoon said, pointing his finger at me.

"OK my paranoid cousin, now go to class," I said with a shake of my head and gave Ji Hoon a gentle shove to his classroom before turning to walk to where my sister and Mikasa were waiting.

Tamara POV

Thank God the day is over. It's only the first day of school and I'm already tired. "Hey, Misa,.. wait, is it okay if I call you that?" I said as we girls walked to the first doors to wait for my cousin and brother. Mikasa and I had all classes together. We shockingly shared none besides 1st and lunch with my twin. "Sure, you can. We've been hanging out all day. We are friends now". She said with a small chuckle and looked around for the boys.

"Okay, you said you work at a cafe early. Do you think I could get a job there?" I asked shyly. "Of course, actually we need more part-timers," she replied, looking at me with warmth.

"Thanks," I said with a bright smile and hugged her. As we waited for the boys, heard a female voice humming, but we could not pinpoint the sound.

The boys soon met us in front of the school near the flagpole. Misaka and I greeted the boys with a smile, but our curiosity about the mysterious humming lingered in the back of our minds. We brushed it off for the time being and began our walk home.

As we walked together, the humming seemed to follow us. It was distinct and captivating, yet there was no logical explanation for its source. The boys didn't seem to notice it, so Misaka and I exchanged bewildered glances.

"Are you guys hearing that humming, too?" I finally asked, unable to contain my curiosity any longer.

The boys paused and looked at each other, their expressions mirroring our confusion. "Humming? What humming?" one of them replied.

Misaka and I exchanged another puzzled look before turning back to the boys. "There's been this beautiful humming sound that keeps appearing, but we can't figure out where it's coming from," I explained.

The boys shrugged, still oblivious to the enchanting melody that had been surrounding us. "Maybe it's someone's phone, or a hidden speaker or something," one of them suggested, trying to provide a logical explanation.

But as the humming grew louder and now the boys could hear it, it wasn't something as simple as a phone or a speaker. It sounded almost ethereal.

"Let's follow the sound," Misaka proposed with determination in her eyes. The boys agreed, curious where it might lead us.

We followed the melody through the almost entry streets of the city. As we walked through the cozy neighborhood, the sound grew more enchanting. It was as if the humming was calling to us, guiding us toward the woods behind Mikasa's house.

In the center of the woods, sitting against a tree, making a flower crown, a lone figure bathed in golden sunlight. It was a young woman with flowing, silky hair and an aura of serenity surrounding her.

The moment our eyes met, the humming ceased, leaving us in silence. The mysterious woman smiled at us, her eyes twinkling with a blend of warmth and mischief.

"I've been waiting for you," she said, her voice melodic and soothing. "You lured by my humming, weren't you?"

We nodded, speechless and filled with curiosity.

"You five do not know how important you are," she continued, stepping closer to us. "But first, let me introduce myself. I am Luna, the Guardian."

As Luna spoke, I paused for a second in confusion. 'five?' I thought, 'What the hell is this woman talking about?', "What the hell?" A male voice whispers out from behind us, all turn to see a boy standing there looking as if he had no clue how he got there.

Luna stood up gracefully as she collected the basket and brushed herself off, "Okay, everyone is here, My Lords and ladies, I believe it is time to explain." She bowed with a small smile.
