Chapter 20 - I hate camping

"Camping trip?" Min-ho asked as he rolled out of the bed where he was sandwiched between two beauties.

"Yeah, camp training" Ha-eun replied, lifting her head.

As the highest-ranking student, she has the privilege of getting information about new developments and drills a day or two ahead of others.

The school had decided that a training outside the school grounds would be a more spinster approach to discovering raw talents, and a camp training was suggested.

It was going to be a 96-hour all jungle experience where the students sort for their feeding and welfare.

And for the first time, death penalties were removed where you can only take the life of a student if you had no other choice or when the student died of an animal attack.

But it was a school filled with children of powerful people, why would they recommend such a rule, simple?

They felt like powerful people birth powerful offerings and if you are not strong enough to survive in a jungle for a few days then you are of no use to your family in future battles against stronger challenges.

Although the school will keep an eye out for talents, they wouldn't necessarily interfere in the competition as a whole.

The other and most important part of the camping trip was the treasure box hunting, Min-ho liked to call them Easter eggs.

There were special boxes placed all over the jungle with a map showing where each of them could be found from the most precious ones to the mediocre ones and the students had to memorize them with a 10-second view of a map showing their location.

The most significant price was a Jeweled crown which offered maximum benefit like a smaller map showing the optimum location for clues relating to other precious items or boxes.

At the end of the 96-hour adventure, the individual with the most treasure wins or the individuals that could produce the most powerful treasure win.

Example, if a student produced 10 mid grade treasures and another 2 high-grade treasures, the one with 2 high-grade treasures will be ranked higher because it was far more difficult to find 2 high-grade treasures and protect them.

Everybody was currently in a flying carriage, but it was a far larger one than the one which had brought them here before, it flew towards the Arcanthal realm.

Which had the largest forest and was the prefect place for a little death camping trip.

As usual, they arrived there with ease, as if they had teleported there with a voice resounding out the instructions one more time.

Their Quils were taken and replaced with a body monitor strapped to their body, which could tell if they were alive or dead.

Min-ho sat at the back of the carriage with little or no worries, he had the strongest beauties around him as he observed other students who could potentially come after him.

He made a mental list of those he wanted out of his way and those who he could use this opportunity to form a closer relationship with.

After stating out the instructions, the carriage suddenly went silent.

"I will then proceed to drop you all off!" The voice sounded again.

Min-ho eyebrows lifted as the bottom of the carriage immediately shot open dropping all his content, which in this case were countless students.

Min-ho saw multiple black suited bodies in the sky, he thought about earth as if this had occurred it could have beaten the world record for most skydiving attempt done without a parachute.

Ha-eun wings burst open as she scooped Min-ho midair with a quick calm motion, his eyes scanned for Seo-yeon who was behind them in a flying sword.

"Ah shit, I was just enjoying the view" Min-ho scolded as Ha-eun dropped him to the ground.

She was surprised by his reaction as she expected him to run to her hugging her for saving his life, Seo-yeon landed behind them shortly after to catch Min-ho patting Ha-eun head like a puppy.

Ha-eun on the other end was relatively happy as Min-ho towering frame stood over her delicate one.

Seeing them, Seo-yeon couldn't help but smile as she drew closer to them only to kick a box towards them which was immediately caught by Ha-eun.

Min-ho turned towards the source to find Seo-yeon holding her foot as he walked towards her, crouching down.

"Are you hurt?" Min-ho asked.

"No am fine it is just a scratch" Seo-yeon replied.

"Huh?" Ha-eun voice brought them back to reality as they both turned towards her as she flipped open the box to reveal a shining crown.

Min-ho sighed.

A large voice rang throughout the area far across.

"Ranking number one has the jewel crown and her location will be shared every 16 hours to your body monitor. I hope you make good use of it"

It was basically a death trap.

Min-ho knew that the camping trip was in no way going to be all easy and fun, the school authorities had other plans.

The benefits that came with the crown made it a bit too suspicious to Min-ho, and his worries have been confirmed.

Ha-eun smiled as she wore the crown, with it shrinking to fit her head by becoming smaller and less shiny.

Min-ho wasn't apprehensive about her, but rather the fools who haven't experienced her abilities first hand and will think ganging up to face her will offer them a chance.

Unless it was a team consisting of the 2-10 in the ranking, no one really had a shot at taking down Ha-eun when she was motivated enough.

Her abilities allowed her to take on multiple individuals at a time better than single combat, and she was currently motivated to get into it.

Because once Ha-eun liked something, she was never letting it go unless she was dead or tired of it.

"Well I guess we won't be avoiding the death part of the camping after all" Min-ho said.

At another corner of the forest, some students found a large door with weird rune inscriptions written on it.

It was the prefect place to hide a treasure box, and they decided to explore even though it wasn't on the map, but there was no one to warn them.

One of the students blasted the door with magic, only for it to backfire with more than twice the original strength, but the students were able to dodge just in time.

This motivated them even more as they decided to find an alternative route to entering. They tracked round the huge fencing and door to realize that behind it was nothing.

It was just a fence and door standing on it own with nothing to protect on the other side.

This was rather unusual because why place such a powerful door in the middle of nowhere only to place nothing behind it.

This aroused their curiosity even more as they returned to the front of the door, if breaking down the door wasn't the way in, then they will blast down the weak-looking fence.

All through this, a particular student was against this idea and constantly warned them only to be shoved aside and bullied as he was one of the weakest within the team.

"You are going Back anyway, it not like we asked you to follow us" The largest in the ground sounded out, shoving him to the ground.

He knew very well that going back on his own was a death sentence, and he wasn't strong enough to protect himself from the animals within the forest or less the bloodthirsty students that just wanted to unleash their locked desires to kill.

The blasting of the wall immediately drew his attention, as it was pitch-black inside.

"Hey, since you are so scared, circle round and check if there is a hole on the other side" A female from the ground sounded out.

He shot to his feet, running immediately, as it was a better option than being asked to head inside the dark space first.

After circling round the long fence he realized that the other side of the wall was intact and not only that, but it was rather bright as day on this side than the pitch black on the other side.

He turned around, running back to meet with the group to tell them of his discovery, as he drew closer to them, he found them sitting in a circle.

Running closer to them, thinking they were waiting for him to return, he tapped one of them on the shoulder to draw him to attention, but the one whose shoulder was tapped simply dropped to the ground lifeless.

This immediately administered shock to him as he felt his legs grow weak as he dropped to his butt, looking up. What he saw further pushed him to his limit. He swallowed hard, screaming before dropping to the ground, fainting.
