As he was sent to check the other side of the wall, they watched him figure disappear among the trees.
After waiting for a couple of minutes, they decided that they had to venture into the dark void as he of no use to them either way.
They all looked at the strongest in the group, who was a boy which was currently able to manipulate wind who held his head up high like he was the strongest in the school.
He turned to them signaling them to follow him as he stepped into the darkness disappearing, they stared at the darkness swallow his figure before following suit one after the other.
Unlike the darkness covering the entrance outside, it was rather bright on the inside with a few fire touches here and there.
Another important thing was the temperature of the place, which was rather hot than the environment where it was located.
Arcanthal was the closest kingdom on the west border of the coldest realm, Frigoris and this happened to reflect on the weather most often as it had relative colder temperatures in most seasons.
But unlike the Frigoris which as a wasteland of nothing but ice, this land thrived with green plants and life causing it to be a little oppressive on their neighbors.
Who would have raided them if not for their other friendly neighbors whom Frigoris shared the border with the Ethereal Nexus realm, keeping them at bail.
"Who uses fire touches anymore" A boy from the group said, making fun of the place which was designed like an Ancient altar.
"I do" A voice sounded out replying to his question.
This immediately drew the attention of the group as they stared at the large throne in the middle of the altar.
There sitting were the remains of a body, due to the hot nature of the place the body had dried up, becoming mummified.
It was wrapped in tissue like material covering it face and had chains holding it down to the throne.
The body sat up on the throne resting on a long broad sword.
The group jumped back in an attempt to find a way out only to realize that the hole they blasted in the wall was gone.
"Please I rarely get visitors, how about I employ you to stay a little longer" The voice sounded out again from the body on the throne.
Fear creep on the body of those in the group as it slowly became visible.
"What are you?" The largest in the group finally asked with all the courage he had.
"Hmm I am not sure if what is the right way but rather who are you?" The body corrected politely.
The large boy swallowed hard, nodding his head before asking again "who are you?"
"Well, I don't remember any more it has been so long since anyone said my name, but I remember that I was a king."
"I ruled the world, and I was so powerful that people feared me and sealed me away as I have done no wrong"
His voice sounded so soft and kind, easing the fear of the group as they began to relax drawing closer to him.
"If you can help me out of here, I promise to reward you delightfully." He said, assuring them.
Their greed got the better of them after hearing reward as they rushed to his side in an attempt to pull away the chains stuck in his body.
They then realized that the chain didn't simply hold him back but rather passed through his body, stopping at his very heart.
The body then managed to turn, pointing to a gem flowing above them, it was a red gem the size of a small rock.
It shined bright as if calling them.
"That is the key to freeing it, the fire gem" The body informed them.
They were hesitant as everybody knew about the fire gem as not only being dangerous but highly forbidden.
It could grant the user the ability to conquer fire being resistant to it completely, but it could also burn away the soul of the one who was not destined to weld it.
If one manages to weld it without being burned to a crisp, it will slowly corrupt your soul on until you become a living corpse obeying ever wish of the gem itself which housed the soul of the first fire God.
No matter how big the reward was, they were not ready to risk their lives, what use was the reward if they died in the process of obtaining it.
They drew back from the throne, the body grew impatient, noticing this as it did a simple illustration telling them how to free him with the stone.
A powerful long-range attack will definitely knock out the stone from it position.
Their eyes turned to the wind user in the group as he was currently the only solution left and last hope to claiming their reward.
His body even rose from the pride he was feeling as he nodded his head, pushing his way to the front of the group.
He stared at the body on the throne like it was below him before looking up to the stone.
Summoning a large wind bullet, he immediately shot it to the stone floating above them.
A sound of something hitting metal as the gem was knocked out of position falling to the ground but no one rushed to pick it up.
The chains rattled as it began to push back with force, freeing the body on the throne.
Who jumped up from the excitement of finally being free after a long time.
It was a very tall frame, standing close to 10 feet as he stared down at the students.
"Oh I remember now who I am!" It immediately replied picking up it long sword and slicing at the nearest student cutting off his head before grabbing his body, absorbing it.
As his body began to take shape, all sort of horrors were on the face of the other students as blood sprayed all over their bodies.
They immediately got into a scramble in an attempt to escape the room, but it was to no avail.
"My name is obláck the first king" The body said as he grabbed another student by the neck, absorbing him as his body began to grow back from a mummified body to a healthy one.
The horror of the students were not over as the ones whose bodies had been absorbed began to rise picking up weapons to attack the other students and bring them to obláck wherever dead or alive.
The wind user was left as he used his wind to increase his speed, running towards the wall where he immediately blasted his way out to revealing the light.
As he made his way out, a large sword shot up stabbing him from behind all the way through bursting out of his stomach.
Blood flowed out of his mouth as he dropped to his knees as his body grew turning black like a shadow.
obláck walked out of the dark entrance with other shadow - like figures who were former students following him. The wind user was the largest in the pack as obláck began to float in the sky, ordering them to sit.
Footsteps behind them drew his attention as a skinny short boy came to a stop pulling the shoulder of one of his shadow minions who fell down before dropping to his ass looking up at him and fainting.
He signed as he came down, staring at the body before hissing.
"You are so weak I don't even have to kill you" obláck said, walking away as the shadow figures picked up their weapons, following him.
Meanwhile, in the large base a woman was seem running down to an office, she knocked on the door, opening it without waiting for a reply.
Inside were a man and woman who were engaged in a hot session of gymnastics.
The man was panting as he was close to releasing his load only to be distracted, his angry face turned to the woman.
"Mrs bell, I thought I told you not to interrupt me?" He sounded out angrily
"Mr craftstone we have a problem" Mrs. bell replied.
As they walked down the hall to a large room filled with other executives sitted he screamed as he opened the door.
"What do you mean, we just lost 20 students at once?" Craftstone asked.
"We were hoping you could come up with a suitable explanation, Mr. craftstone" One of the executives said in a commanding voice as their gaze focused on him which was filled with worry and anger.
As craftstone opened his mouth, he couldn't find words.
A large boom sound shook the base as other personnel run into the large room facing craftstone.
"Sir, we are under attack"
This drew an even more surprised reaction from not only craftstone but every executive in the room.
"Ah damn it, I should have taken that leave" craftstone replied.
