Chapter 247 - Troubleshooting

"There's no need for you to get involved." Antony looked at Dash with a sense of foreboding as he led them both to his car.

Dash stopped, looked at Antony, and said, "Here's the solution: you go back home, but I'll have already arrived and told your father what you're doing to this kid. Another solution could be for you to come with me, and we will go to your house so that your parents find out about this."

Kenny never expected Dash to know Antony, which surprised him a bit. Now, it seemed that Dash was about to solve the bullying problems he faced, making Kenny wonder, Why is he doing this?

He didn't have a definite answer, but he was aware that addressing a series of issues at an early age could lead to future changes.

"Get in, come on..." Antony knew that somehow Dash would notify his father, so he thought it might be better now than later.

As Dash sat in the driver's seat, he took out his cellphone and sent a message to Sam, who should be at home, according to her brother. "I found your brother, so I'll take him home. Are your parents by any chance at home?"

Sam asked minutes later, "[What's the meaning of that question?]"

"Nothing special; just have something of utmost importance to discuss with them that concerns you little. [No matter, it's about your brother, and right now, I can't keep checking my cellphone.] "

Dash put his phone aside and started the car engine, looking at Kenny, who was sitting behind him, and said, "I'm Dash, and I'll help you with these little inconveniences. The kid's father next to me is a great man, so he'll take care of asking Antony why he does that."

"Yeah, thanks..." Kenny felt very uncomfortable but didn't say anything. "By the way, I'm Kenny..."

While driving, Dash sighed and said, "When I was young, I realized two very important things: fitting in with a group of idiotic friends or being the odd one in the group who doesn't go along with foolish trends that end up changing many people."

"Antony, I see that you don't like the idiotic group of friends you're with, but you also don't have the courage to distance yourself from them and be yourself. You think fitting into a social group is more important than your own happiness, and you must understand that that's very wrong."

Dash knew perfectly well what it was like to feel alone, and he knew that if Antony exposed his likes, he wouldn't have many friends because that's exactly the society they were in. The time he violently attacked a young man was to avoid being the target of bullies, as Kenny was experiencing right now.

"You have to start prioritizing better." Dash said as he parked the car outside the LaRusso house, and when he got out, he looked at Kenny, who was still in the car. "Get down; you'll have to file a formal complaint."

"Sure..."

Dash nodded, and when they reached the door, Daniel appeared with a smile on his face, seeing the visitor. "Dash, this is a very big surprise. What brings you home?"

"Good evening, everyone. I was passing by when I found your son, along with his friends, literally beating up the kid named Kenny, who was next to me. Since I witnessed that, and it concerns your son, I wanted to tell you in person because you are more than likely not to have taught him those values." Dash clearly stated the issues.

"Are you serious?" Amanda couldn't believe that her son, Antony, would do such a thing.

Dash raised his eyebrows and asked, "Sir, with all due respect, why would I lie? You can ask your son; he was seconds away from hitting Kenny, who was being held back by two of his friends."

"Were you going to hit this kid?!" Daniel looked at his son as he had never done before and asked seriously.

"Dad, I..." Antony wanted to say something about it, but he didn't know what.

Daniel took a deep breath and said, "Out of my sight; you're grounded."

"Dad..."

"Now!"

Kenny, who was behind Dash, was surprised at how rational Mr. LaRusso was—more than he had imagined.

When Antony left, Daniel looked at Kenny and asked, "How long has my son been bothering you?"

"Are you sure it's only our son's fault?" Amanda knew this could also be Kenny's fault.

Dash opened his cellphone and showed a video to Amanda. "It's just a matter of searching among your son's things to know who the victim is and who the culprit is."

"I'm so sorry, Kenny. I assure you, I'll punish Antony very seriously, and from now on, you won't be bothered anymore. This is my phone number. If Antony bothers you again, don't forget to call me, and I'll be personally anywhere." Daniel said it immediately after knowing his son was guilty.

When it was time to leave, Dash decided to take Kenny home, and Daniel, who saw him, said, "Thank you for letting me know about this; I appreciate it."

"Mr. LaRusso, they're just confused kids. How about listening to my proposal?" Dash asked, looking at Daniel.

"Tell me about it."
