Chapter 248 - An Invitation

"I'm not asking you to forgive the people who hurt you; that's the will of every human being, and, of course, it shouldn't be influenced by others. But from personal experience, holding onto resentment in this life serves you no good as it will sour most of your time." In the car, Dash looked at Kenny in the passenger seat and advised him.

Kenny, who had resolved his problems because Mr. Daniel said he would take care of the people bothering him, felt more at ease and said, "I have my own tastes; I'm sure they'll stop being idiots."

But the truth was that Kenny still had no idea of the harsh reality, so Dash told him, "That might be true for a few days, but surely someone will bother you again, and that's when you'll have to act."

In life, people tend to be very resentful, and eight out of ten follow the course of revenge, so Kenny would likely be bothered again until he did something for himself.

That's why Dash had solved his problems so that no one would come looking for him again, but not everyone thought the same way he did, and that was precisely the circumstance he should consider.

Now that he got involved in this problem, he would at least have to help Kenny, so after giving it some thought, he said, "I'm hungry."

"Are you hungry?" Kenny asked the same thing Dash had said a moment ago.

Dash looked at a nearby restaurant and asked, "What time do you need to be home?"

"I can call my mom; there's no problem..." Kenny said this calmly; after all, he wasn't denied the outing.

Having heard this, Dash nodded and parked outside the restaurant. Upon entering, they chose a table and sat down to eat something before it got too late.

Kenny looked at the menu and remembered that he didn't have money to pay. But before he chose to just have water, Dash reminded him, "Money is not a problem; this time, I'll treat you."

"Thanks, buddy." Kenny smiled widely, and now Dash's figure resembled that of a superhero who appeared in his life to save him.

The bullies at school were becoming heavier and more annoying, so now, knowing that Dash had intervened without the need to do so, he felt incredible, knowing that someone could do something for another without asking for anything in return.

Dash nodded, smiling a bit, and he didn't regret saving this kid. He, too, would have liked to be saved in this situation, or if he ever has children, he would like someone to do this for them if they ever get into trouble.

When ordering the food, Dash said, "Kenny, some of the kids who bother you will do it again."

"How will they do it again?" Kenny felt a bit nervous hearing this statement.

"That will happen, and you must be prepared to respond this time." Dash said as he took out a Sakura Bushido handkerchief and tied it around Kenny's wrist.

Doing this, he reminded him, "Consider this as a gift; if you ever find yourself in trouble and someone familiar sees this handkerchief, they will surely help you."

"Is it some kind of club?" Kenny looked at the Sakura tree on the handkerchief and asked, somewhat curious.

"It's a martial arts school..." Dash said as the waiter brought them the food they had ordered.

"Where is it?"

Dash thought for a moment and said, "I know exactly what you're thinking. Part of my martial arts school teaches self-defense, but we make it clear that aggressive and direct response against another person is reserved for extreme cases."

"But those kids will surely kill me." Kenny said he was a bit more agitated.

"That's possible, but is that my responsibility?" Dash asked with a smile and said, "You can come tomorrow; I'll teach you some self-defense moves, and if you can afford the classes, you can train at Sakura Bushido."

"That's awesome!" Kenny was very excited to learn martial arts like in anime.

After eating, Dash took Kenny home, and before he got out, he reminded him, "Kenny, remember that the brave live until the coward wants..."

"Yes, buddy, I'll keep that in mind."
