Chapter 70 - A god descends

"Does thou not know the righteousness of god. Does thou wish to forsake me. If thy crave to disobey my rule, knowledge of death shall await." The goddesses' words seemed to echo. Her might clear in her sentiment.

"I will never worship false prophets, it is Amish who shows true guidance away from demonic gods!" Jorge screamed.

"Thou speaks of a dead god, time approaches on a new age, an age were gods themselves must step in to halt this wicked game. No more precious worlds will be taken by the demonic plague."

Alex jumped on to the stage in a blink of an eye.

"You preach of saving this world, yet you tell us if we refuse your will we must die. I will not participate in this farce. I have met someone who entered the precipice of ungodly strength, at most your only seventy maybe eighty percent of his power. I have vowed to protect humanity whether it be from demons or tyrannical gods."

"So be it."

She rushed, no she took a single step and appeared face to face with Alex. He leaped away, easily breaking the speed of sound. But in comparison to her he looks no different than a child playing with adults. She is just out of his league.

"Bow children of the all mother, take your worship to me, her fifth daughter the divine queen ruler of the lower realm. Choose now upon the plan you wish to take, decide if being ruled by the heavens means less than dying by insurmountable demons. You've seen it in all those worlds. Your people have been gifted with sight, so thou should know the tomorrow of hells."

Somehow even through the harsh movement of the crack of the wind, you could still hear her like it was some nice untouched summer day. Like she was your friend smoothly asking about the weather.

Many in the crowd wished to scream, they wished to cry, some just wanted to leave and never see another human face in their life, but they all did one thing in common. They all sat on all fours bowing turds to the goddess in complete and utter silence. All but one he stood holding his cross out long. He was a follower of a long defunct religion, one that believed in one true god, what he was hearing was nothing but heresy. And the proof was in the pudding, after all she was standing right Infront of him. In the light of dusk he threw himself off the high stands and splattered all over the floor, not even trying to catch himself.

This act seemed to get an odd look from the goddess, but the look was just a glance, she continued to chase Alex.

Jorge ever the saint rushed to the man's side, but all he could do was shake his head.

Jewy began her escape slipping out of one of the side entrances, slowly weary hesitantly Wolf marched behind.

"Hey, Kane and Alex, how about we work together? And you too Jorge?" Vex called out. "I just need you to heal me."

Jorge nodded, but Kane stretched out his arm to stop him.

"Why should we trust you?" Kane asked.

"Trust? Trust you say? Your master's up there fighting that thing, and all you can say is trust. I know if big brother was gonna lose a fight I would put all my heart to help him."
