Chereads / My Players Are So Fierce / Chapter 33 - 12. Blood-eating Vulture _2

Chapter 33 - 12. Blood-eating Vulture _2

His gaze swept over the players who were still alive, from 12 players, only 9 were left. Murphy felt a shade of regret.

Even though he had tried his hardest to adjust the strategy, the gap between noob players and the witch hunters was still evident. Losing three players had reached the failure threshold of the fourth novice guidance task.

It didn't matter, though.

If a bunch of noobs could fight like this, then after pairing up and practicing with another group of witch hunters after nightfall, they might just succeed.

Just at this moment, Ayu's shout suddenly came from behind:

"Quick, someone come! Gebao is still alive, although he's down to his last breath."

Upon hearing this, the able players immediately ran over and started helping, just like they were involved in an earthquake relief effort. A few minutes later, they managed to pull out the bloody Lead Dove from the collapsed second-floor room.

The severity of his injuries took everyone's breath away.

It was horrible!

The entire person was mangled, just like he was dragged out of a coal kiln.

"Damn! The pain feels way too real!"

The bloody poor Dove was intermittently looking around as he shouted:

"Why doesn't this game have a button to switch off the pain perception? I'm so f***ing going to die from the pain."

"The pain has already been reduced, noob."

Wumeioge, leaning on his pitchfork, glanced at Gebao, saying:

"In reality, you would've croaked from these kinds of injuries, or at least be unconscious. The fact that you're still alive and yelling just goes to show the point. But you're so injured you should have been disconnected due to protection, how are you still alive?"

"Oh, indeed there were a few times I felt like I was going to disconnect."

Gebao replied honestly:

"But when I thought that I would need to wait three days to revive and didn't want to be laughed at, I chose to bear the pain, hoping you guys could rescue me."

"Damn, did you need to be that hardcore? My poor Gebao."

Ayu half kneeled at the side, patting Lead Dove's head and said half-seriously:

"You were so brave just to not be called noob. Daddy is impressed; my boy has grown up. Yours truly will treat for lunch! Whatever you want to eat."

"Oh, then let's have chicken for lunch, at least one entire roast chicken."

"...Duckwalk!"

Murphy stood outside the crowd, surprised by the unexpected determination of his own clownish players.

But it was certainly a good thing because when Gebao was brought back, a task completion prompt popped out on his character card:

[Novice Guidance Task (4/6): Advanced Combat Test (Completed)

Evaluation: 2 manpower losses, task completion degree is excellent.

Reward: Test Invitation Code+5, Item Identification Function Unlocked.

Additional Reward for Excellency: Early Unlock of Experience Points and Upgrade Function.

Developer's Note: Even though your vision is excellent and you've got no extraordinary special abilities, I still think you'd make a great Rts professional player. Have you considered switching careers?]

Murphy revealed a satisfied smile.

He looked back at his little players - Wumeioge and Gebao, who made this journey before, recognized the look on his face and knew it was a sign that the test round would be ending. So Wumeioge steps forward, earnestly saying:

"Sir Morphy, I know this request may be a bit excessive, but we hope to stay in this world a little longer to let us adapt better."

"Right, Sir Morphy, this village is too tragic."

Coo Coo Chicken and Ayu on the side also chimed in:

"We could help you... err, I mean, help the poor redhead Vanessa to bury her family and friends. This is one of the few things we can do for this village now.

Of course Gebao should head back, he's suffered way too much."

"Well..."

Without having to scrutinize, Murphy knew just exactly what these little players wanted to do - just seeing the rare chance to log on before the public beta opening and yearning for a little bit more of time before leaving. He pretended to find it a difficult decision until he eventually said to the hopeful players:

"Alright, you can stay a little longer. But I have to leave this place to rendezvous with my comrades by nightfall, at which point you'll need to go back to your world. The grand plan cannot be exposed yet!

Before getting my own forces, I must be cautious, to protect myself and to protect all of you.

I hope you understand."

Hearing that the NPC had agreed to their request, the players immediately cheered and jumped for joy, especially those newbie players who logged on for the first time. Everything seemed novel to them.

Mainly because the environment felt too real!

If it weren't for still being able to log out from the game naturally, it'd really be like stepping into Another World, making them reluctant to leave. Even if it was just an ordinary village, it was enough for these innocent little players to play and explore for quite a while.

Morphy stood on the side of the dirt wall, watching his naive and cheerful players surrounding Milian and trying to communicate with her through sign language. He also felt a rare sense of relaxation since he had time-traveled.

But before he even had a few seconds to relax, a new prompt popped up:

[Novice Training Task (5/6): Comprehensive Assessment, lead all current human resources, from planning to preparation to the final practice of a complex tactical operation!

Specific demands are as follows:

1. Alpha must discuss strategies and formulate plans with the adorable players in the game.
