Lukas left the administrative centre and returned to the barracks. The sun was rising so the hallways and corridors were filled with much more chatter and movement than before. Lukas wormed his way through the chaos until he reached his room.
The faint light pouring in from the window was enough to guide his eyes around the room. There wasn't much else to see besides the things he already knew about. His new uniform was the only thing that should have been different about the room, and indeed that seemed to be the case.
Lukas put his journal on the desk this time instead of with the rest of his belongings. He didn't want to take his backpack and potentially damage his journal again. He was lucky only the binding was damaged the day before and none of the pages.
He went through everything again to make sure nothing was damaged or missing and couldn't see anything wrong in the low morning light.
