Lukas, Bene, and Karve left Bellrock Outpost shortly after noon. They headed straight north at a modest pace. There was a tense silence between them that no one dared to break. Bene was cold and silent with a vengeful look in his eyes. Lukas was preoccupied with his own thoughts and too nervous to speak up. While Karve was peacefully observing the nature around them, or maybe he was trying to ignore the stagnant air around them.
When they stopped to eat, the silence followed. When they went to sleep, it weighed down on them like a mountain. Lukas tried to get his mind off of it by focusing on his control over his energy. Karve noticed what Lukas was doing but did not say or do anything.
Bene decided he would watch over them at night, so there was no discussion about that either. So Lukas slept that night with a hesitant sense of safety. He was awoken in the middle of the night by Bene, however.
