"You said your name was Alex, right?" Kanos inquired as he swung his tail at Alex's legs.
"Yeah, that's correct," Alex replied as he leaped into the air to evade the attack.
As they exchanged blows back and forth, the tide of the battle gradually shifted.
Kanos grew accustomed to fighting within the Darkness area of effect, while Alex began to perspire profusely. It was evident that this battle would conclude soon.
"Shit, I'm going to lose at this rate. I'm running out of steam, and when Darkness ends, so does my boost in speed. There's no way I can keep up with him," Alex thought anxiously, his options dwindling.
Then, he realized something he could do. But he had to be very quick.
In the midst of an incoming blow, Alex swiftly retreated and conjured another sphere of darkness, this time enclosing only himself. He then crafted another illusion and hurled it toward Kanos.
