'Kitsune's POV'
I was trapped by the metal collar around my neck, the device that prevented me from escaping the prison. The device prompted me with a message that 'it would explode' if I tried to leave the prison grounds. Also, it happened to be the device that would kill me if I failed the mission.
"Fuck! How the hell am I supposed to escape then? let alone from the collar." I wonder if there is a way to remove it or deactivate it.
"It must be somewhere, around here," I looked around, hoping to find a clue or a solution. I saw the corpses of the guards and the inmates, the victims of Chavo's explosion. I saw trails of blood and corpses, the results of Chavo's destruction.
But then, I spotted a guard's card on the floor nearby. Without hesitation, I grabbed it and slid it into my metal collar. To my relief, it worked. The collar released its grasp on my neck, freeing me from certain death. I took a deep breath and surveyed the corridor, now filled with smoke and debris from the explosions.
The guards who were supposed to chase us were lying dead or unconscious, their uniforms stained with blood. I spotted a small revolver next to one of them and quickly picked it up. It only had three bullets left, but it was better than nothing. As I made my way towards the exit, determined to escape this hellhole, I saw Chavo standing there holding a large metal case. He looked at me with a sinister smile on his face. It was so uncanny...
"There are still some survivors?" Chavo said with a surprised look. "Oh well since you have seen my face, I have to clear any evidence."
I felt a hint of suspicion. He carried a mysterious aura with him and seemed to know a lot about the game, but he also acted recklessly and selfishly. He had triggered the explosions that had killed the guards, but he had also endangered us in the process.
"Don't tell me... You plan to bomb this whole building and everyone in it?" I asked, pointing at the briefcase.
Chavo grinned mischievously as he opened it, revealing a collection of grenades, bombs, and other explosives. A chill ran down my spine.
"These are my toys," he laughed. "I brought them here to have some fun. You know, blowing things up, causing chaos, making a statement. Want one?"
He threw a grenade at me. Instinctively, I caught it and saw that the red light was blinking - it was armed.
"What the hell!?" I yelled, dropping the grenade and backing away.
If Chavo is truly an NPC then he was a villain. A villain who causes carnage. A villain who had no morals, no limits, and no fear. A villain who had a plan, a strategy, and a backup.
Chavo laughed maniacally. "A shrewd one aren't you? I'm no ally of yours. You see, I'm not here for child's play. I'm here to destroy everything here, and everyone in it. Including you."
He threw another grenade at me, then another, and another. I dodged them as best as I could, but I knew I couldn't escape. The corridor was too narrow and the grenades were too many. I heard them explode behind me, sending shrapnel and fire everywhere. I felt a sharp pain in my chest and fell to the ground. I looked at Chavo, who was still smiling wickedly.
"Why go this far?" I gasped.
Chavo shrugged. "Why not? It's just a game to me. A game of life and death. And I like to play. Don't you too?"
He pulled out a detonator and pressed it. The whole building shook as the explosives in his case went off. I heard a loud bang and then everything went black.
The last thing I heard was, "Mission Failed!!"
