The cold stones seem to be trying to haunt the explorers. Each step, each breath, the humans are not knowing what lingering around each dark puddle.
Mawra takes the lead, Tiary follows, then Polwil then Darvic.
Then Mawra is pulled back. Polwil throws a pebble. It hits the floor then spikes come out immediately from the floor. Mawra nods. They move on.
When they come to a room. The doors are large, have a lion head along with strange vines at the outer edges. Mawra opens the door slowly. The room is empty.
The four sit down at the cold stone floor. Tiary lays down some wood and Mawra casts fire. The light flickers, uncertainty awaits them ahead. Darvic inspect his spear, Mawra pulls out her book, Tiary kneels down and prays. Polwil is on first watch.
"So far there is no monster around" - Mawra flips a page
"At least we can save strength for the loot. I bet there is something worth a lot." - Darvic smiles
"..." - Tiary still closes her eyes
"Say, what magic should I learn, Mawra?" - Darvic teases
"There is one right now. Shut your mouth" - She flips the next page
"Whatever. Boo" - Darvic frowns
As the first watch passes, Tiary is on the second watch, while others sleep.
"WAKE UP! SOMETHING IS HERE!" - Tiary stands.
The three quickly ready up
Seeing nothing yet, they take their weapon and stand up.
Polwil quickly throws a pebble with his sling. It hits something.
Darvic covers for Polwil. Something clashes quite heavy, enough for the warrior to stumble a bit.
Tiary swings her mace to her right. Something shatters.
"Tiary, light up now!" - Polwil yawps
Tiary casts light. The light reveals that there are three stone golems and one earth golem. One stone golem was partially shattered at the arm by Tiary, the rest look fine.
"Mawra! Cast barrier around Darvic's spearhead. Darvic! Pry their feet off the ground." - Polwil slings a pebble to the earth golem's head
Mawra casts barrier, Darvic quickly slips his spear between the foot of a stone golem and the ground. Tiary quickly follows by stomping the spear's heel. The golem loses its balance. One falls, three to go.
"They are not simple minded. They learn, quickly, Tiary! Throw your mace then Mawra will support you" - Polwil points
Right at the body, a stone golem is broken. A stone golem tries to pick up the mace with no avail.
Tiary pummels it with her fists covered with barriers. She picks up her mace and glares at the last stone golem standing with a broken arm. Then she bashes it without a second thought.
One left standing is the earth golem which was hit in the eye. Mawra casts barriers then shrinks the size of the sphere down. The earth golem struggles in vain as the barriers close until it is crumbled.
"Quickly! They will recover! Find the core then shatter it!" - Polwil stands stoically
The three quickly seek for the cores. Tiary quickly throws her mace at the core as soon as she sees one and then uses her barrier fist to another. Mawra casts barrier around the earth golem's core then shrinks it down til it crumbles
Darvic throws his spear at the furthest golem's core and destroys it.
The four pant out. After a short rest, they pick themselves up.
"I am promoted. I picked white mage as my next occupation" - Tiary cheers
"Congratulations then, shy girl. I also got promoted and I picked red mage" - Mawra lies down
"I haven't gotten to the condition" - Polwil sits down
"Neither have I" - Darvic leans to his spear
