"Merlin defeats another member of Tannin's Peerage!"
As Merlin continued her impressive winning streak against Tannin's Peerage dragons, Riser watched with admiration and amusement from the elevated platform. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he observed the dragons being defeated one by one by the skilled mage.
"You see that, Tannin? Your Peerage is being completely crushed by just one person from my Peerage," taunted Riser, his smug smile betraying his pride in Merlin's ability.
Surrounded by fury at seeing his dragons being defeated, Tannin snarled angrily at Riser, his draconic form trembling with the intensity of his emotions. With powerful flaps of his wings, he flew up to the elevated podium where Riser stood, determined to confront the young Phenex face to face.
Meanwhile, Merlin continued her relentless battle against the remaining dragons.
As two more dragons advanced towards Merlin, Mizuho, the queen of Tannin's Peerage, watched with a somber expression. She knew she needed to act to change the course of the battle.
However, her pride as the queen of a Peerage of dragons prevented her from directly interfering in the fight. Tannin had always taught her the value of pride and honor in battle, and she did not want to disappoint him.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Merlin faced two more dragons with her usual grace and skill. As one of the dragons prepared to launch an electric attack towards her, another attempted to physically attack her. But before the attacks could be executed, Merlin disappeared from where she was and reappeared atop the dragon about to unleash electricity. With a swift movement, she focused her magic and launched a torrent of ice towards the dragon's mouth, freezing the electric attack before it could be released.
"Freeze," murmured Merlin with a smug smile.
Seeing its companion being attacked, two other dragons attempted to help. Merlin snapped her fingers, and the dragons were ensnared in perfect cubes, unable to move. The dragon that tried to physically attack attempted to recover and strike Merlin from behind.
But it was already too late. The dragon with the electricity was completely frozen and disappeared from the battlefield amidst a cloud of glittering ice, leaving only the echo of its weakened roar trapped by the ice.
"Merlin defeats another member of Tannin's Peerage!" exclaimed Serefall joyfully, her voice resonating through the arena as the crowd cheered enthusiastically.
As for the dragon that tried to attack her from behind, Merlin turned quickly, regarding the dragon with disdain.
"What a cowardly move. You truly are a coward."
The dragon ignored her and attempted to land a punch, but Merlin was prepared. With a swift movement, she dodged the blow and countered with a wind magic, causing the dragon to recoil with a weakened growl.
At that moment, Mizuho decided to act. With a quick movement, she advanced forward and pushed Merlin backward, separating her from the dragon.
Merlin, surprised by the action of Tannin's Peerage queen, recoiled, but soon regained her composure and praised Mizuho for the speed of her movements.
"Impressive. You're fast," commented Merlin, acknowledging her opponent's skill.
Mizuho, however, ignored the praise and ordered.
"Step back, Melqui."
The dragon, obeying its queen's orders, retreated with a reluctant growl, its gaze fixed on Merlin with defiance.
"Melqui! What a beautiful name," mocked Merlin, teasing the dragon with a slight tilt of her head.
"Release the other two from that cube," ordered Mizuho.
"Why would I do that, little dragon," replied Merlin, snapping her fingers and conjuring another cube around Melqui.
Merlin left three dragons trapped in cubes, with only Mizuho remaining free.
"You will regret this," threatened Mizuho.
Merlin just smiled defiantly, her unwavering confidence radiating around her. "I highly doubt that, dear. But feel free to try."
Meanwhile, inside the perfect cube, Melqui felt a mixture of frustration and helplessness. His roar echoed inside the cube, but his strength was futile against Merlin's magic. He felt cornered, unable to do anything to help his trapped companions.
Meanwhile, Riser skillfully dodged Tannin's attacks, trying to start a conversation with the powerful dragon.
"Why do you refuse to speak to me?" questioned Riser, genuinely curious.
"Silence," replied Tannin, his voice laden with a mixture of anger and disdain.
"So temperamental," commented Riser, jokingly, as he launched a beam of blue fire towards Tannin. The dragon resisted easily, his powerful aura blocking the attack effortlessly.
Next, Tannin retaliated with a blast of fiery breath towards Riser, but to everyone's surprise, the fire had no effect on him. Riser remained impassive, his fiery aura merging with Tannin's fire in a dance of flames.
"Fire against fire won't affect me," thought Riser, realizing the true extent of his power after consuming Ace's Devil Fruit.
Inside the perfect cube, the two trapped dragons conversed about the situation.
"Do you think Mizuho will lose to the mage?" asked one of the dragons, concerned about the fate of their queen.
"Of course not! Have faith in our queen, she's stronger than all nine dragons combined," replied the other dragon, convinced.
Simultaneously, Mizuho faced Merlin with determination, her expression serious as she sought a way to turn the tide in her favor.
Mizuho's eyes turned red, a sinister aura enveloping her body as she channeled her dark magic. With a quick movement, she advanced towards Merlin, her fist wrapped in dark energy.
Merlin, however, was prepared for the attack. With agile movement, she dodged Mizuho's strike and countered with a combination of lightning and ice, her attacks aiming for Mizuho's weak points.
"Grrr"
Mizuho growled in frustration, her red eyes glowing intensely as she tried to recover from Merlin's counterattack. She knew she needed to focus and find an opening in Merlin's defense if she wanted to win the battle.
Channeling all her energy into the palms of her hands, Mizuho unleashed the power of dark magic, preparing to launch a decisive attack against Merlin. With a swift movement, she lunged towards the mage, her fist enveloped in dark energy ready to strike.
Merlin remained calm, her unwavering confidence radiating around her.
"Perfect Cube."
With an elegant gesture, she conjured a perfect cube, forming an impenetrable barrier around herself. The cube glowed with magical light, reflecting Mizuho's attacks as it remained completely intact.
Mizuho growled with frustration at seeing her attack neutralized by Merlin's cube. Determined to find a way to defeat the mage, she began to launch a series of rapid and powerful punches against the cube, each blow accompanied by the dull sound of her strength impacting the magical barrier.
"Pow! Pow! Pow!"
The sounds of the punches resonated through the arena as Mizuho continued her relentless attack, her expression determined as she sought a way to break through Merlin's defense.
However, no matter how hard she tried, the cube remained firm and intact, resisting her attacks with ease. Merlin watched calmly, her serene expression as she awaited Mizuho's next move.
