As Merlin calmly observed Mizuho's attempt to break her defense,
"Pow! Pow! Pow!"
"Get out of there, you bitch!" Mizuho shouted, her voice echoing through the arena as she continued her frenetic attacks against Merlin's perfect cube.
Merlin, normally calm and serene, began to grow irritated by Mizuho's insults.
"I don't appreciate being insulted," she said in a cold voice, her magic responding to her mood.
With a quick gesture, Merlin concentrated her magic and teleported from the cube she used as a shield into the cube containing the two trapped dragons. The dragons, surprised by the sudden appearance of the mage among them, recoiled with a frightened growl, their scales trembling with apprehension in the presence of the imposing Merlin.
"Surprise," said Merlin.
The dragons, realizing they were at a disadvantage, growled in challenge, preparing to attack the unexpected intruder. But Merlin was one step ahead of them, her magic ready to respond to any threat they might pose.
Outside the cube, Mizuho watched with astonishment and disbelief as she witnessed Merlin facing her dragon companions, her shocked expression indicating that she did not expect this move from the mage.
"DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THIS."
Inside the cube, Merlin unleashed a series of lightning bolts towards the dragons, her magic hitting the targets with lethal precision. The dragons roared in pain as the bolts struck them, their resilience being tested to the maximum by Merlin's powerful magic.
Then, in the blink of an eye, the dragons disappeared amidst a cloud of smoke, teleported away from the arena.
"Merlin defeats two more members of Tannin's Peerage!" proclaimed Serefall with a hint of irony in her voice.
"Well, it looks like Tannin's Peerage is having a tough day. Will they manage to recover or will they continue to be defeated one by one?" commented Serefall, maintaining her unprofessional behavior, but without attracting much attention from the viewers, who were completely absorbed in Merlin's performance during the battle.
Inside the other cube, Melqui growled with anger, his fury increasing with each passing second.
"Stop with the tricks and face us head-on," he demanded, his voice echoing inside the cube.
Merlin, sensing Melqui's anger, decided to act. With a wave of her hand, she dispelled the cube surrounding them, emerging from her magical protection with a calm and confident expression.
Outside the cube, Mizuho advanced towards her with rage, her eyes glowing with intensity as she prepared to launch an attack against the mage. Her thoughts were filled with a desire for revenge for Merlin having defeated her dragon companions.
However, as Mizuho was about to strike Merlin with a punch, the mage acted quickly. With swift movement, she focused her magic and teleported Melqui in front of her, causing Mizuho to hit her own companion with full force.
Mizuho recoiled with a cry of surprise and pain, her hand throbbing where it had struck Melqui. She looked incredulously at Merlin, realizing that she had been deceived by the mage once again.
Meanwhile, Melqui disappeared from the battlefield, teleported alongside his other companions.
"Merlin defeats another member of Tannin's Peerage!" announced Serefall with enthusiasm.
Now, with Tannin's Peerage reduced to just Mizuho, and with Merlin and Riser on the other side, the battle was about to reach its climax.
"How unfair attacking her own companion," taunted Merlin, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she watched Mizuho recoil in pain.
With Riser and Tannin,
"Look at this, Tannin. Your Peerage is crumbling before our eyes," teased Riser, his smug smile betraying his satisfaction with the situation.
Tannin, with his imposing posture, showed no immediate reaction to Riser's words. Instead, he watched the battle with a serious expression, his sharp claws clenched into fists.
With a quick gesture, Riser accessed his inventory and withdrew his Blades of Chaos, a pair of oversized daggers equipped with chains that wrapped around his forearms. The blades gleamed in the arena's light,
"It's time to finish our fight," said Riser coldly, his determination reflected in his gaze as he prepared to face Tannin.
Seeing Riser's determination, Tannin did not hesitate to respond to the challenge. With a fierce roar, he charged towards Riser, his sharp claws shining with the promise of an epic confrontation.
The fight between the two was intense and furious. Tannin launched powerful blows with his claws and jaws, while Riser dodged agilely like a shadow, slashing with his Blades of Chaos with deadly precision.
At a crucial moment, Riser used his "Soru" technique, disappearing from Tannin's sight and reappearing behind him with a surprise attack. Tannin roared in surprise and pain as Riser's blades cut through his scales, leaving deep cuts in his skin.
However, Tannin was not willing to give up so easily. With a roar of determination, he turned to face Riser head-on, renewing his attacks with a renewed ferocity.
"It seems like that cut isn't enough to defeat you," taunted Riser.
Determined to turn the tide in his favor, Tannin charged with even more fury, his sharp fangs gleaming with the promise of a devastating bite. He lunged towards Riser, his jaws opening wide to attack.
However, before he could reach his target.
"Soru"
Riser disappeared once again with his technique, leaving Tannin attacking the air with fury. When Riser reappeared at a safe distance, the dragon's rage was palpable.
"That wasn't very nice," commented Riser with an ironic smile, further provoking Tannin's fury.
Deciding to change strategy, Riser stored his Blades of Chaos in his inventory, making them disappear. He then summoned a white gauntlet on his right hand, it would be the first time he would use the power of Divine Division.
Tannin watched with apprehension as Riser accessed his inventory once again and withdrew Ascalon, the legendary dragon-slaying sword. The mere presence of the legendary sword was enough to make the dragon's heart tremble with apprehension.
Stunned by the power emanating from Riser, Tannin momentarily recoiled, carefully evaluating his options. He knew that facing Riser with all his strength would be a formidable challenge, but he would not back down without a fight to the end.
