Chapter 234 - Marvel 7

Just like anyone would expect, even long before the official start of this shit show, there were already countless secret organizations. While everything seemed normal to normal people, the entire city was swarmed with spies and even a few magic users thinking they could make some quick bucks by selling the Sentinels to the highest buyer.

Yes, there were magic users that weren't from Kamar-Taj and no, they weren't all dark mages or demon worshippers, even if they were in the majority.

During that time our restaurant gained a lot of customers but as the search for the missing killer machines proved fruitless, they began to gradually leave again and do whatever they did before coming here.

Well, almost everyone.

"Who the fuck are you? And why can't I see the previous page of this book?" one of the strangest people in this shit show demanded an answer.

"Who are you calling strange?"

I mentally sighed as Gwenpool sat on my kitchen counter like she owned the place. This little gremlin was from a normal reality and saw herself as the only real thing in a fictional world, to make matters worse, her ability to interact with the 4th wall reinforced her delusions.

"Hey, why can't I read this? What did you do?"

She somehow jumped to a previous X-Men book, only to realize that the story was entirely different from what it was supposed to be, and took it upon herself to fix the story. Her efforts proved futile as every time she went to the past to change things, the present would remain unchanged.

After many tries, she ended up following the Sentinels to figure out where they disappeared and ended up here.

"Stop that, I want to know what you're thinking" She pulled out her sword and tried to stab me, only to get a pan smashed in her face.

She was probably the most unflexible transmigrator to ever exist, most would have an identity crisis about whether or not they were real and end up with the conclusion that it either didn't matter or that both they and the fictional universe around them were real.

Maybe it's just the fate of these that can actively mess with the 4th wall to be a bit insane. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a time-traveling Deadpool yet but it was bound to happen eventually, especially with the Weapon X program starting in a few years.

"Hey, hey, I know you can hear me, stop pretending not to notice me. Where did you hide these super cool killer robots?" she began poking my side to get a reaction out of me.

This harassment continued on for a few minutes when my wife suddenly came through the door with a murderous look on her face and a knife in her hand. Gwenpool remained oblivious to the danger and kept on bugging me until Laura lunged at her and started stabbing the person that has been intruding on our family a few hundred times.

Recently Laura has been even more unstable than usual, so I knew that even talking with another woman could be disastrous for me, especially if this woman didn't think much about personal boundaries.

By the time she was finished, the guests around us finally began to react and run around screaming. She ignored them and just turned to me with a bright smile like she just accomplished something big.

Before I could even react, she jumped at me as she did to Gwenpool but I did not become a Swiss cheese but became a victim of sexual harassment as she ripped off my clothes and we did it on the bloodied tables.

Well, I was planning on renovating anyway, this seems like a good time to start.

The next day my begrudge neighbor came by to complain about yesterday.

"Did you really have to kill her?" the person responsible for bringing Gwenpool to this reality asked sourly.

"Don't look at me, I didn't do it. If you have a problem with what happened, discuss it with my wife."

Stan shuddered at that thought, he had some traumatizing experiences with Laura and preferred to stay away from her as far as possible. Let's just leave it at that.

"No thanks, I'm good"

I couldn't help but laugh at this legendary being shuddering in fear at the thought of talking to my wife.

"Alright, I will resurrect her in the far future in a different universe, and as an apology, here is a present for you."

I pulled out a small carton with holes from nowhere and gave it to him. He was stunned for a while when he opened it and a small golden retriever puppy smiled at him. There wasn't anything that had materialistic value to people like us, so I decided to give him something else.

I got the idea a while ago when I compared him to a golden and decided to give him one at some point, this seemed like a good opportunity.

And I wasn't wrong, in just a few days, these two were inseparable and adored each other. It was as wholesome as it was funny to see the One Above All cleaning after a little puppy.

This was going to be a few interesting years. I had my renovation going on, then there was the pregnancy that was slowly getting some ill-intended eyes from outside, and my neighbor who always came over to tell me the newest stories about what his son did.
