Chapter 233 - Marvel 6

The city burned and screams and explosions could be heard anywhere as two Sentinels from the original timeline hunted down anyone with an x gene, awakened or not.

Wolverine already left the city before the slaughter began and I was just waiting for the two killer machines to come to me. I wasn't controlling them but they would end up in front of my door eventually, I could watch the government trying to deal with them in the meantime.

This was the first time they encountered anything that was absolutely unaffected by their guns, yet they still kept shooting. There were also a few generals that were a bit too eager to nuke the city and even though the president was refusing, I could see that he was also very tempted and would do it if it wasn't for the massive loss of votes that would mean.

At this point, they even discussed asking Magneto for help. While releasing someone who killed the president was bad, it wasn't nearly as bad for the elections as firing a nuke at their own cities.

Logan still had no idea that he brought some guests with him, he wasn't exactly free enough to watch the news and now he was too busy convincing the powerless professor to go back into his wheelchair.

On the second day of Logan's arrival in the past, the government couldn't take it any longer and made a deal with Erik, causing the mutant group to break into an empty prison.

While they were trying to figure out where Erik had gone, Magneto was fighting the two Sentinels a few cities away. It's just he wasn't as powerful as he was fifty years later and the non-magnetic Sentinels were a bad match, it got even worse when they caught him and mimicked his powers.

These sentinels were truly a masterpiece. They could not only shapeshift and adapt thanks to Mysticque's mutation but also mimic powers after being enhanced by Rogue's x gene. After a few changes, I was sure I could turn them into supercharged AMAZOs.

After trying anything from throwing trains at them to turning them into porcupines using some needles from a nearby drug den, Magneto gave up and just destroyed the collar the government put on him and left.

While the two Sentinels went back to killing everyone, Magneto began looking for his old group but found the three mutants who were looking for him. Naturally. They weren't all too happy that he was walking around free but at the moment they needed him and started explaining the situation.

While Erik and Charles were having their lover's fight, Logan was watching in terror as the Sentinels from his future destroyed the city. He couldn't wrap his head around how they got here, even if he managed to change the future, as long as these Sentinels were in the past, not much would change.

With Magneto now in tow, they began looking for Raven together. There was nothing they could do about the Sentinels now, they needed to deal with the future first before their present problems.

All the while the Sentinels were destroying one city after another, people were watching everything on the news. The mutants didn't know it yet but thanks to their inability to stop the Sentinels and the government's incompetence, people began hating the government more than mutants. They even began making conspiracy theories about how the Sentinels escaped from some secret lab or how they were alien technology hidden from the public.

One day later, they finally got the hint that Raven was heading to Paris, more importantly, my toys were finally delivered. The Government was puzzled, relieved, and at the same time on high alert when the Sentinels suddenly disappeared without any hint or warning.

From this point on, I no longer care what the time traveler and his group did. I will be busy playing with my new toys, even my wife accepted that and gave me a few days away from the restaurant.

I spend the next few days experimenting with these two goodies. After a few trials and errors, I learned that Mysterium and the Nth Metal from the reality next door had super high compatibility and were perfect for making a new metal for my toys.

Mysterium was already way harder than Adamantium and completely immune to magic but when compared with Nth Metal, it formed something truly scary. The only properties these two metals shared were their insane durability and magic negation but together they formed something that was unaffected by physical and magical attacks and augmented someone's power when worn by extends that even Odin's Destroyer armor couldn't compare to.

Sadly due to my many experiments, the two Sentinels lost the pre-recorded data on powers they copied, except Mystique's and Rogue's, but that might have been for the better. It would be a lot more exciting if they grew with each special customer visiting my humble abode.

Not sure what happened to the mutants but I think I vaguely heard something about Magneto killing Raven and the government getting such a strong backlash that they did not have the time and money to make mutant killer robots, especially with the current hate for robots the public had.
