Chapter 171 - DC 10

While waiting for them to get ready, I just walked around the Phantom Zone for a bit until I stepped on the one thing you would not expect to find in this place… a LEGO figure.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" a Lego Joker jelled at me.

I knew that the Phantom Zone was connected to the entire multiverse, hell, I didn't even know if the Zod I picked up was from the universe I was going to, but I never expected to encounter a Lego universe here.

This universe was most likely artificially created because as far as I knew, it was dictated by the Toon Force, something I did not know this reality had. I will make a trip there in the future, whether it is to get the Toon Force or to have sex with a Lego figure.

Don't judge me, I was just trying out new stuff.

I just kicked the mini-Joker in the distance and turned to the approaching fleet of Kryptonian ships.

"It seems like you are all ready to go, I will open a rift to Earth now"

I sat on Nidhogg while she tore open a rift in space to the coordination I gave her. You might be wondering why I was going to such lengths to get my ring back, long answer short, I wasn't. I just wanted to cause chaos and trouble for the JL, I could summon my ring back as long as we were in the same galaxy.

It was also a test for the Kryptonian General, I was curious to see if he would keep his word or if he was really as evil as everyone made him out to be. I have always had a tendency to agree with the bad guys. Was Thanos really wrong and can you blame this Kryptonian for wanting to revive his race and planet?

If he fulfilled his part of the deal I might consider helping him, if he doesn't, he can just die trying to get his hands on the Codex in Star Child's body. (Kal-El means Star Child)

I just watched the show from a mirror-like dimension that Niddy had opened for me. While the alien fleet was floating over the planet, sending their threats over the globe in all languages, I looked around trying to understand what I missed and what had changed.

Since Flash was already running in circles around his enemies, I must have been away for more than six months, whether it was because I was anesthetized or because time works differently in the Phantom Zone, I did not know.

It also looked like my supernatural threat to Gotham had spurned the Bat to make allies with other heroes much earlier, causing a whole storm of butterfly effects that I will have to study later. While the Justice League had not formed officially yet, it was only a matter of time now, at least they did not have their Space HQ yet.

Seeing Superman getting his ass handed to him by someone that had only been exposed to the yellow sun showed just how much he relied on his brute strength. Some other heroes also showed up but Flash quickly got his legs broken, Green Arrow and Batman had no effect on them whatsoever and only annoyed them.

This time Zod knew that the Codex was not in the ship and went straight to capture the traitor of his kind. The army had fought in many wars and was a lot bigger than it was often made out to be, there were at least two hundred and the only heroes that were able to make some difference were the Martian, King Bathtub, and Princess Prince.

Although they managed to kill a few soldiers, it made no difference and only served to increase the destruction of the many cities they threw each other through. After Batman realized that his gadgets had absolutely zero effect and that they could rip apart his bulletproof armor like paper, he decided to use one of his trump cards- my ring.

I watched in amusement as he had my ring transported to his location in a special drone. He had changed the color of the cape to black and it did a perfect job at helping him resist the attack of over a dozen Kryptonians at once, as expected I might add, but it only allowed to draw some attention away from his allies due its lack of attack power.

I was even considering unlocking the Cosmic Orbs for him just to mess with him and to see him trying to study this new form. You know what, let's do this.

Batman was busy using some alien gun he took from one of the Kryptonians while the cape was moving on its own to brock the attacks from all directions when suddenly he watched worry as the ring he thought to have fully studied decided to summon six orbs behind him.

He felt something whisper in his mind about what he could use these orbs that looked like they contained a universe for. While his paranoia was screaming at him to take the ring off and study it, especially since it just proved itself to influence his mind, he was in no position to let such a helpful tool go right now.

According to the whispers, the orbs had six powers that he could use; wind, explosion, fire, ice, lightning, and rot, it also told him that they had a lot more powers but a normal human could only use these six preprogrammed powers.

Batman was caught between using them to the limit to take the ring off as quickly as possible and using just enough of their power to help out to reduce the possibility of it having any influence on him. It seemed that after this, the ring would not be allowed to be used again until it was reexamined and was safe to use.
