Messing with Batman was fun, his paranoia made him overthink even the tiniest things. I will definitely keep doing this in the future, his reaction if he suddenly found a cake inside his cave should be worth watching.
The moment he started using different elemental attacks, he caught the eye of Zod who recognized the ring. Since he was being ganged up on by Superman and Wonder Woman, he did not have time to keep his word and send a few more soldiers to the Bat's side instead. He was either underestimating my ring a lot or he was just buying time to deal with these two and do it himself.
Whatever it was, I now knew that he was a man of his word and worth helping, even if he was a bit too confident in his ability to deal with the attack of the JL.
The biggest surprise I got was however by the green Martian. People always fanboyed over Superman or talked about how underrated Plastic Man was but the true powerhouse was the green telepath.
His race was so much more powerful than Kryptonian to the point where even the so-called guardians of the universe decided to stop them by interfering with their genetics and giving them an instinctual fear of fire.
Martians were like a combination of Kryptonians without their solar radiation absorption, Plastic Man on steroids, Professor X on crack, and Deadpool. I couldn't even blame these evil Smurfs for giving them a weakness.
J'onn J'onzz was knocking the Kryptonians out one after another but this was not what surprised me, what surprised me was the fact that he would occasionally glance at where I was and don't forget I was spectating this from a different dimension.
He might actually be able to look past my human form and glimpse at what I truly was, not that it would do him any good, he would be lucky if his mind was still intact and remained sane.
The battle was coming to an end with the Justice League once again as the winner, at least if you can call the loss of millions of lives and many destroyed cities a win. Zod wasn't killed but instead hit by one of Batman's kryptonite bullets and taken into custody… good luck trying to keep him in anything that was not a prison dimension.
Many Kryptonian soldiers died as well, Superman even destroyed the Genesis Chamber, completely destroying any hope for the comeback of his race. If this was a Chinese world, he would be called an unfilial son or a shame to his ancestors, and for once I would agree with them.
He used his race's powers and their technology but never even thought of repaying them by bringing them back. It was not like he had to die to use the Codex in his body or that he had to rebuild Krypton on Earth, that the magic of Terraforming, you could just turn the must unhabitable planet into a paradise.
To me, that was just another example of how you notice who is writing a story. A human writer would always side with the human race and Earth, and most American writers are always like kill baby Hitler but no one ever even said something like kill baby Mao, Stalin, or Genghis Khan, all people who killed way more people than Hitler.
Anyway, humans and their flawed worldview aside, it was time for me to officially return. I wasn't going to make a bit scene but I was sure that taking a simple walk through a city with many cameras would ring every alarm the Bat had.
Only this time I was going to trouble the capes in a more legal way, the law they love so much will become their greatest enemy, I was going to make this a Superhuman Registration Act. I was going to be a law-abiding man that made them regret following the law and I was sure the government would be more than happy to support me if them hiring Amanda Waller was anything to go by.
I wonder what the ever-paranoid caveman will do, will he follow the law or will he become a tyrant like he always fears and beat the innocent me because I was making trouble for them?
