Null didn't know about Nexus or how much he would torment him to try to get him to let him out. Null refused but the torments wouldn't stop so he stayed awake for several weeks ignoring Nexus' rants in his mind.
By the beginning of the fourth week, his body couldn't take the exhaustion and collapsed.
"Why won't let me out?" Nexus said.
"I don't know what other damage you would do if I let you out," Null replied.
"I've already started doing the damage, why should I stop halfway?" Nexus asked.
"I'd rather not," Null said. "You plan on taking the lives of half the population," he said. "They didn't do anything to you."
"They turned me into a monster and killed me," Nexus said.
"That was centuries ago, you were killed by five people because you tried to kill the world's populace."
Nexus doesn't try denying this. "You can't blame me, they made me into this," he said. "Illegally experimenting on living things for their curiosity."
