Throughout the fight between Liam and Vera, Liam was very interested in this fight. Her V.P. was actually amazingly strong and he figured out how it worked after a while.
When her blasts seemed weaker, she moved, and the blasts became stronger again. It also became stronger when he hit her. It was amazing to him then and he decided he wanted to copy it.
But he decided to do that once he had beaten her. It was easy to beat because she was weakened by the pain.
She was unconscious and Liam decided to heal her because it would be a shame to have her down for days, so he bends down to heal. 'You will make an amazing sparring partner,' he thought.
Unfortunately for Liam though, Vera misunderstood his actions and thought he was in love with her. He didn't know what she misunderstood though, he had just noticed that a week after the fight she was stalking him from a distance.
