It's been two weeks since Null arrived at the academy, and everywhere he went Liam followed him. Everyone was anticipating the fight for both of them, but that didn't seem to be happening anytime soon.
Vena was upset by this. She knows who 'Sunshine' is, but whenever she sits with them, Liam doesn't pay attention to her and treats her like air. Why is this happening?
Does she have to prove herself once again to gain his attention?
When Null was finally alone outside his room in the classroom. He was drawing a rose. He saw it and wanted to draw it. He was in the middle of completion when the table was tapped by Vera.
He looks at her and tilts his head slightly. "I want to fight you!" she demanded.
Null did not react. "Well, won't you answer?" she said. She was now getting desperate. If this boy turns out to be very strong and she beats him then imagine what she'd look like in Liam's eyes.
Her mind wandered to a different scenario.
Null watched her begin to smile weirdly as a blush crept up on her face. But he remembers her during his rampage. Their fight lasted a while because he was fighting with another battalion. She was strong and knew how to use her V.P., however, he killed her by using her to cancel out her attacks, overwhelming her, and shattering her skull.
He took out his note and wrote: 'Okay'. Tapping her and snapping her from whatever thoughts she had.
Vera was embarrassed clearing her throat and standing upright. She saw the note and smiled. "Good," she said.
Liam came in with bottled water and Null's pills. "I've got them," he said cheerfully until he saw Vera and he became indifferent.
Null got up with his things and walked to Liam, touching his shoulder and indicating that they should go. "Are you done with your drawing?" Liam asked. Null nodded and they began leaving.
"What did she want from you?" Liam asked.
"Fight..." Null replies.
Liam is happy that Null has been talking to him even though it was a few words due to his limited vocabulary. They've been practicing as well and there's been progress.
"Did you accept?"
Null nodded in reply. Liam wanted to assume that he was forced to accept but it is impossible to force Null. He only does things if he has no other choice. "Do you think you can win with your current state?"
Null shrugs.
"It depends?" Liam asked and Null nodded in reply. "On what?"
Null imitated a gun. "Anything is allowed as long as you don't kill them," Liam replies. "Or permanently incapacitate them."
Null then nodded. "You can win?"
He nodded. It would not be easy but he's sure he would still win. He just has to keep her from moving entirely or just being overwhelmed.
Her being overwhelmed might not be a good thing because of her V.P.'s ability to turn kinetic energy into dangerous energy beams and make force fields with them, there are also some more things she can do with them, like using them to increase her strength and speed, but is unlikely to do that because she would mostly be focused on creating energy blast or force fields, she can do some other things as well, like creating constructs made from energy and probably fly.
But keeping from moving completely will mean he has to find a way to kill her temporarily by stopping the heart and bringing her back.

Vera scheduled the fight for the next physical training class. She saved up a lot of energy for this fight.
"I bet Vera would win again," a student said.
"But if the new guy turns out to be strong, do you think Liam would want to fight him?"
They looked at Liam who was looking at the screen calmly with a small smile on his face.
Null knew Vera was waiting for him to attack so he took out his gun and shot her twice, aiming for her head and heart.
Just as the bullet hits the surface of her skin. The bullets were disintegrated and Vera's eyes began to glow.
Null put the guns in his holster and waited for the energy blast to be shot at him. Once that was done, a medium-sized hole was on his body.
Vera looked horrified. She was certain he would dodge it or block it with his V.P. or something. Why didn't he move?
Null began healing slowly. Why did he do this? Well, he wanted to know the speed and intensity of her energy blasts. It moves close to the speed of light and can melt steel.
When he was now prepared, he made a move and the ground broke on impact. When he was seen next, he was behind Vera with his fists and was about to punch her. His fists hit the force field. The pressure caused the ground around her to break.
The force field released the pressure evenly and it spread to its surroundings. That punch was close to a thousand tonnes. It seems it would take a lot more than that to shatter her force field.
The wound had already healed and closed up like nothing had happened. It was then obvious that he was incredibly fit under his clothes.
"Damn," a girl said biting her lips.
"He healed it like it was nothing."
"His V.P. is regeneration and with that speed... He can only keep up with Vera for a while."
Liam hadn't said a word yet. Normally he would have criticized either of them for their mistakes. "Do you have anything to say?" the teacher in charge said.
Liam looks at the teacher and everyone who was waiting for him to say something. "Both of them are strong, but it might be impossible for Vera to win."
"Why do you say so?" a student said in confusion. On the screen, Null stopped moving and Vera made several medium-sized energy balls.
They all shot out at once.
Null thought fast and took out a device which then turned to a mirror.
Reflecting the energy blasts to Vera who easily creates more energy balls that cancels it all out. There was a large explosion after this and Liam smiled.
The mirror had already shattered but Null rema uh ned as calm as ever.
'Why do I have a feeling this would soon end?' Liam thought.
Null squints his eyes. She has a powerful V.P., and unless he can fully use his V.P., it wouldn't be wise to push her to use it.
When made several more blasts, he moved. Dodging the blasts and getting close enough to Vera.
Her forcefield was up and he punched it harder than before.
Vers's heart shook especially when she felt her force field crack. She manipulated the force field to turn into spikes which Null realized on time and dodged.
She can manipulate her constructs as well.
'I can not with the way he's moving around,' she thought as she shot more energy blasts at him.
He is physically strong, but unless he can copy her ability like Liam then it is impossible to defeat her.
She was becoming impatient and knew she had to come in for a close fight.
So for the first time, she moved and she was very fast.
Appearing next to Null while dodging energy blasts she had made with her V.P., and attacking him with a sword made of energy.
She wasn't expecting her to be grabbed and flipped over. Before she could react, she was punished hard in the stomach. The ground cracked, she spat out blood, her spine broke, and her airways were blocked.
Vera creates a spike with a force field and pierces through Null's body.
She couldn't breathe through her nose, she opened her mouth to try to suck k air but Null covers her mouth.
She began panicking and her heart began beating faster.
She wanted to create an energy blast but her mind was too scattered to do so.
She struggled for a while until she lost consciousness.
"Her vitals are becoming low," the teacher in charge said about to enter.
They all saw Null tilt Vera's chin up carefully and hold her head down.
He saw that she was no longer breathing and he frowned.
He takes out his gun and shoots at every security camera watching them.
"He's going to kill her!" a student exclaimed.
The teacher in charge was afraid this was under his watch and he would be blamed if anything happened to her.
He runs to the training room and sees Null carrying Vera gently. She was breathing normally but this caused a bit of a tick in certain people's minds.
Liam felt a sour tang in his mouth which slowly got bitter, but he refused to show what he was feeling.
"Is she still alive?" he asked Null.
Null nodded in response, then looked at the carrier bed folded up in a corner."Someone should unfold the carrier bed and take her to the medical center," Liam said coldly.
When Null puts her on the carrier bed. He walks out of the training room.
He still had a hole pierced in him, but he didn't seem bothered by this or by the blood dripping on the ground.
Liam followed him and saw him heal. Null's footsteps became slower as they entered the room.
Liam knew he was going to fall, so he caught him before he could.
'He keeled, huh?' Liam thought carrying him and turning around to go to the infirmary. 'It is expected, his V.P. was pushed too far to score-F.'
