Reo Uchida
My life was perfect.
At age one, I was born to a family of three...
At age two, my sister was born...we became a family of five
At age three, my life shot off...
The world felt nice. It was big and wide for an endless exploration I could savour for the rest of my life. I was popular; I made sure to make as many companions as possible. I also sought to be the best in everything studies, sports, creativity, popularity. You name it.
A family of "Five", I always had my biggest to beat that one person who I looked up to the most in this world, he could do anything, and the reason I gained my very status in society was because of him; I loved him... my big brother... Kurai Uchida. He was not an individual who was popular or successful in any way... but he was free...he was happy...he was my hope, my star.
At age six, I encountered a boy picking on my little sister Sakura, I was angered, yet I was happy I could come to my sister's rescue...like my brother who would always come to mine...even after my parents were always fighting, abuse was always present in the Uchida household it was not happy...but my brother was always there for my sister and me, always.
The following day by my mother, as a means to make us happy she invited someone over a person. I was excited. Very excited to have someone over for the first time!
"Big brother, why did you beat up that boy at the beach!" my sister Sakura was complaining in great frustration and embarrassment.
"He deserved it, besides its adult business and none of your problems. Wait till your older you will understand." I was an arrogant young kid at age six saying such comments out to my sister, who was just a year young than me. It was embarrassing on further thought.
"But it was an accident!" She shouted upon my arrogance.
"Oh...I did do a number on him, but it's his fault for not standing up for himself!" I was not simply waffling. That boy could not stand up for himself; it was true.
"Sakura, Reo, there is someone at the door for you!" The voice of my mother was innocent yet suffering.
"Oh, it's you!" my sister at the door. I quickly ran towards the door, and to my surprise, it was the same boy! Of course, I apologized as much as I could. I did hurt him pretty badly.
Two hours later...
This kid was boring, gloomy, and dead. Honestly, I did not know someone like this could exist. His name was Satori, his mum was kind and normal, but this boy was different.
But at that moment the door opened, it was my brother! He met Satori. He played with us. The atmosphere went from dark to refreshing sunshine at that moment. It felt good. My brother was there.
"Satori, Satori Anzai" Satori and my brother interacted.
At age thirteen, Satori's parents died in a traffic accident. He did not shed a tear.
However, that very day after the funeral, Satori headed somewhere by himself. My brother followed him out of worry, and I followed my brother. It was a game of spying; I thought it would be fun...
Satori wandered to abandoned estates and dark areas, where drug dealings, prostitution, and the mafia were present. He wondered coldly; my brother was curious, and so was I, I thought.
Satori was approached, By a dark-suited figure and a little girl in his hand. Satori bumped into the figure even though he could have made way and respected the presence of the frightening individual.
"Boy, Apologise, I am not in a good mood right now!" The figure demanded and was triggered by Satori's disrespect.
Satori looked up and, to my surprise, Tears...Tears
It was clear it did affect him. This gloomy kid, this gloomy guy really did have a heart, I thought. This realization was apparent, and it was nice to know Satori, and I'm sorry I doubted you, I pondered at the time...
"That look pisses me off the most...How dare you!" The dark individual was already at his limit of anger.
"Uncle, you do not need to do this! The girl in hand stated, wasn't mum and dad enough!" the girl said in tears of sadness and anger towards the one she called uncle.
"How dare you, How dare you, but I won't hurt you, your much too young, and you are my family. I will and can still change you! My niece, However this kid is another story he's dead..."
In a rapid motion, the dark figured man grabs his gun and points it at satori before hitting the trigger. I looked at my brother in urgency. He was not there... Where was he?
"No! No! No! Brother?"
shots were fired, blood was splattered, and the dark figured one escaped with the little girl. The one on the floor? ...the one covered in blood?... My brother
All I could do was scream at the top of my lungs, and without hesitation, I go to beat up the knocked-out Satori in a swift motion; he was knocked because of my brother's push to save him.
My brother...my brother, he stopped me, held me back. In his last life, he said the following:
"Be good to Satori, don't ever tell him of this event, tell mum it was all to protect you and Satori." My brother died.
Tears like never before came out streams dipping down towards my brother's dead body while the gloomy Satori sleeps in peace beside him.
Aged 16 after my brother's death, Satori also moved away into foster. My sister was devasted for months. She moved on...
My mother was devastated for months. She moved on...
My father had left after a divorce. He moved on...
I could not move on. Especially knowing the full story. My sister fell in love with the man who caused the death of my brother.
Was this reality? Was this fair? No, it was not. God is nonexistent in this world. There needs to be a ruler... someone who can bring peace, someone like my brother...
Satori refused to go to my sister's birthday that day. I was happy. My sister was sad she was crying? What did she even see in him? Out of everyone out there, it was him? I guess it's one of the properties of time.
On that very same day, a white missed appeared...
at age 17 (present) :
"Lord, We have received reports of the northern region. I have troops currently sent to back up all the generals. I think it will be our win!"
"I am thirsty..."
"Excuse me, my lord?"
"Send my slave Aoi to serve me some water!"
"But I can do it for you, sir. Why call some useless slave in just for that?"
"Do you dare speak back to me? I have my interests in that slave."
"Right, I humbly apologize, my lord forgive me, please forgive me!"
"This very life, This very world will be ours... brother."
Aoi: "Reo, Reo, please...I thought you were the brothers best friend, one of his only friends."
"You're a slave now, and you dare speak to me like this. Do you not value your very life, your very existence?"
Aoi: "No, please Lord, I'm sorry, please, I'm sorry."
"Be a good "sister" and go fetch me something to drink now and don't grovel like that again. It simply sickens me."
I am not far from procuring victory in this world. I have just partnered with the great slave company under silent talks...
And now the "northern attackers", imperial army, the ice empire...The government... the people will all be below us, brother!
Reo Uchida, a young boy with a story. What happened? Satori would find the answer in time...
