Early one morning, Selahe received a message from Ada. She said that the protective amulet was finished. It was more than halfway through summer and the heat was a bit oppressive. Thankfully, there was the ocean breeze which took the edge off. I did sorely miss the enchantments of our castle in Calo City that kept the place cool.
Fletcher's promise of every Solday and Shaniday was not upheld. He said until I could reliably select the proper gem and extend my mana I was on self-study.
