As Su Haoyu woke up, he noticed a message from Lin Qing ;
[Good morning]
He first sheepishly smiled then realised it is pass 1 p.m.
So it turns out that due to his poor sleeping habits, he didn't see the message until the afternoon.
Feeling guilty for not responding promptly, Su Haoyu initially considered sending a simple " good afternoon" or "I just saw your message" or "hey, what's up?" response to avoid further awkwardness.
But as he thought about it more, he realized that these excuses sounded weak and unconvincing. He didn't want to appear rude or disinterested by simply saying that he had missed the message or act as if nothing happened.
What if Lin Qing gets sad about this?
She is just a delicate girl , a man shouldn't make a girl sad.
So, he felt increasingly anxious and self-conscious about the situation.
Then Su Haoyu turned to the internet for advice. He searched for similar cases and found that everyone suggested apologizing to a woman you want to keep seeing.
Su Haoyu rarely apologized, but eventually, he worked up the courage to send something similar to the ones that he read on internet. He wrote,
[I'm sorry I missed your message earlier. I've been busy today, how are you?]
He then threw his phone onto the bed like a hot potato.
Lin Qing overworked on more designs till she realized it was almost dark outside.
She haven't had lunch nor dinner and she was feel extremely exhausted.
When she arrived at home , she took the dinner to her room and didn't notice the notification on her phone till it was almost time for her to sleep.
[I'm sorry I missed your message earlier. I've been busy today, how are you?]
She was still feeling lethargic but all of her anger suddenly diminished.
Su Haoyu actually apologised to her!
"Oh no, this message was sent hours ago!"
Lin Qing also decided to apologise to him;
[Sorry,I was overwhelmed at work I couldn't have time to check my phone, how are you?]
Then her phone instantly beeped;
[I'm fine , have you had dinner?]
Lin Qing was surprised , he sent her a reply almost immediately this time, so she replied;
[En,Do you have time tomorrow for lunch?]
Su Haoyu thought, tomorrow he had a meeting for lunch but he could take it earlier or later so he decided to sent;
[Yes]
Lin Qing's eyes curled into a smaller size ,
[Then it's settled, you will be at office right? I'll come visit you ]
[En.]
Su Haoyu felt like it was very novel, Lin Qing was definitely taking steps towards him, this wasn't his wishful thinking, if she wasn't interested in him why would she take initiative to talk or meet with him?
On Tuesday morning, Lin Qing chose to take a day off from work.
She emailed her new designs to her colleagues and other managers and began preparing for her mission.
For menu she deicided to cook sweet and sour pork ribs, rice , potato puree, scallion pancakes and added vinegar, soy sauce , soy paste and sesame paste as sauce in small portion. She also prepared milk pudding and on side she sliced bananas and strawberries and packed this lunchbox for two.
She took a long bath then she soak herself in honeysuckle aroma therapy oil she bought for a high price, it was way better than perfumes as the smell was natural , it wasn't very oily and it was natural .It was alsl good for skin , even its taste was good.
Thinking about the last part , she smirked.
Lin Qing then browsed through her wardrobe and selected a midi-length lilac dress with a square neckline and puffed sleeves, she decided to put her perfume on the dress instead .
She paired her outfit with Jimmy Choo laced-up heels in the same color and carried a light blue Kate Spade bag from the 2014 summer collection and left for Su Haoyu's office.
Su Haoyu's company had an inconspicuous office in the city center , it was located on a quiet street, away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfares.
The building itself was unassuming, with plain glass windows and a simple, understated facade.
Inside, the decor was minimalist and functional, with gray-colored walls, floors, and furniture.
There was no flashy logos or signage to draw attention.
Noone would think this was the headquarters of the company that created the most famous game in the last 5 years.
Lin Qing has been stopped by security in the entrance, she forgot to inform him before leaving the house so she had to call Su Haoyu.
"Hello"
His low , musky voice dazzled her for a second.
Lin Qing started to tell what she needed to say ,
"Hey , sorry I just arrived at your office"
Su Haoyu asked in a curious tone;
"You're downstairs?"
"Yes"
Lin Qing was going to say , 'Can you inform the receptionist for a meeting ' so security can allow her inside but Su Haoyu replied faster than her.
" Okay, I'll pick you up!"
Su Haoyu hurriedly ran to the elevator, leaving his subordinates in shock.
" What happened?"
" Did you see that?"
There was a buzz of noise of gossiping of the workers but he didn't notice.
Lin Qing looked at the young man infront of her who is out of breath with a flushed face she suddenly felt today was a good day.
Su Haoyu looked at the woman infront of him, her hair was half down , she was wearing a dress that made her look softer with her hair style and her dress she really looked like a fairy that came out of a fantasy world.
She bit her lip then asked ; " You're not busy right?"
He finished all of today's works and meetings in morning for today's date, he even skipped sleep so even if he was busy, he wasn't busy, thus he nonchalantly said " No , not busy."
He looked at her hand, she was carrying a relatively big box, so he reached for it then asked;
" What's this? It looks heavy, I'll carry it"
Lin Qing smiled sweetly at him " Thank you , but be careful.
Ah it's...
I made us lunch"
Su Haoyu was surprised , he repeated her words;
"You cooked?"
"Mmm,I hope you don't dislike it"
Then they strolled through the elevator.
Internally she was thinking " Dare you! if you dislike it , I'll choke you , i spent weeks to learn this!"
But she kept her smile.
