John looked around but all he could see was the dark void. He had just died from a car accident before waking up in this void.
"Welcome young one."Â
A powerful voice made the void tremble and John felt his head go dizzy from the pressure.
"Who's there?" John asked while looking all around but all he could see was the dark void.
"Haha, relax I'm here to help you."
John didn't know if he could trust this random being in the void but he didn't really care that much.
He had a feeling if they wanted him dead it wouldn't be too hard for them to kill him.
"Indeed you are merely a piece of dust in my eyes, and I just happen to need the help of a piece of dust right now." The being chuckled causing the void to sound like it was beginning to crack.
John who was beginning to feel like throwing up from the pressure just wanted this damn thing to hurry the hell up and get him out of here.
"Right now two universes are coming together. One universe is full of life, one full of death." The being said with a sigh.
"Okayyy? But what's this have to do with me?" John was confused about why the hell this divine being was explaining cosmic shit to a used-to-be fast food worker.
"Well I can't stop the universes from coming together because it's meant to happen, but these humans in the universe full of life won't be able to survive long so I plan on helping them a little."
"I've chosen you to help the humans of this universe because you are the only one here in the void who has watched the TV show, The Society."
John's mind went into overdrive as everything started to connect.
The society TV show was about a bunch of teens who got sent to some alternate universe where everyone is gone inside of their town except for them, and they have to survive with the food they had found left in the town.
Their town was also placed down in the middle of nowhere meaning they couldn't find any nearby towns or cities.
But since the adults were gone the kids started going batshit crazy until a leader stepped up.
"The Society are you saying it's real? He asked with a curious voice.
"Of course, it's real. And they weren't sent to an alternate universe. I sent them to a realm I had created to help them get used to surviving in harsh conditions. The first stage was against themselves.Â
If they could survive with each other and hold together then they would reach the next stage.
Each beginning of a new stage is marked by a solar eclipse. If they had completed all stages they would be sent back out and right at the exact time the universes finally came together to help other people on earth survive.
Too bad they couldn't even survive the first stage. I was both sad and disappointed in them."
"Why not just test a different group then?" John asked.
"Because it's against the rules that the cosmos had set for me and it's not just a test for them, it's a chance to learn how to survive so that when the universes finally come together, they will be able to survive and teach others to survive."
John was finally getting a clear picture, but he was still confused about one thing.
"What's the smell that they always mention?"Â
"That's the universes coming together. The smell is scattered in different areas all over the earth they live on, but they don't know that. What they are smelling is dead bodies and rotting zombie corpses."
"Ahhh. Makes sense, I guess." John shrugged.Â
'Can souls shrug?'
"Focus."Â
"Ah yes sorry." John smiled nervously.
"Look I don't mind helping them out since I watched the tv show I know how bad they failed the first test but I'm not exactly Rick fucking grimes."
"Don't worry about that. I'm giving you five wishes to help you accomplish your mission."
"What is my mission exactly?" John asked.
"Help the kids pass all stages and be sent outside of my practice realm and back to their universe."
"How many stages are there?" John asked.
"Can't tell you. But I can tell you the first two stages."
"The first stage is "Self" while the second stage is "Freeze."
John nodded a thanks. The information would help him a lot once he first got the situation under control.
In the Tv show, he watched as the characters went mentally fucking crazy and started making stupid ass decisions.
That's what happened when a bunch of naive children fucked around too much.
"Now choose your wishes. I'll tell you if the wish cannot be granted."Â
John thought for a few minutes before listing off his wishes.
"First wish I want the skills of John Wick along with an entire arsenal of guns and ammo."
"No." The god's blunt words echoed in his skull.
"What why?" John asked confused, he didn't think John Wick's skills were so high even a divine being was scared of them.
"Because that's two wishes num nuts."
"Damn, at least I tried." John chuckled with a smirk.
"Yeah, I guess you would be dumb if you didn't at least attempt it." The great being said and John imagined it was nodding in appreciation.
"Fine, I'll take those as two separate wishes," John said.
"Alright and don't worry since your second wish will be more than just guns and ammo. It will be a top-level arsenal."
"For my third wish, I want the regenerative abilities of Wolverine."
"Granted."
"Fourth wish I want the skills and knowledge of a master blacksmith."
"Granted."
"For my last wish, I want some kind of kingly aura with intimidation that I can control."
"Granted. Now it is time for you to be sent into the world of The Society."
"What is my identity?" John asked since he knew everyone in West Ham knew each other since the town was small.
"Your name is John Gerscheson. Your family just moved into town and no one has met you yet. The memories will be implanted in your head. Your house should be pretty easy to find. It's one of the biggest ones. Good luck. I'm counting on you."
Swoosh
John felt his soul start to travel at speeds beyond his understanding before he blacked out.

Screech!
John woke up to the sound of a screeching bus that was slowing down.
Opening his eyes he saw darkness before the lights inside of the bus flickered on.
"Change of plans, rock slides, the road is closed. You're back home." An adult voice sounded out and the rest of the teens on the bus stirred awake.
Looking around he noticed he was in the back of the bus and wasn't sitting next to anyone.
Standing up he followed the rest of the kids who were slowly walking out of the bus.
He noticed his head was almost reaching the top of the bus and that he was probably around 5,11 in height.
Finally, he was the last on the bus and as he was walking out he glanced over at the bus driver and saw a fat cubby man wink at him.
"Good Luck." The fat bus driver said before shutting the doors in his face.
"Well, it doesn't look like anyone was expecting us." A girl's voice rang out.
