Smiling he left his house and walked to the church. It only took five minutes before he heard the loud music and the screams.
"Wohoo!"
He decided he didn't want to get crushed and went through a side door of the church.
Inside he saw a cute Elle in a white dress being trapped in a corner by Campbell and looking extremely uncomfortable.
He wanted to just get rid of Campbell the psychopath, but it wasn't the right time yet.
Walking up behind Campbell he slapped his hand onto his shoulder causing him to abruptly turn around with an annoyed look.
"Hands off my best friend bud." I smiled at Elle who looked relived and confused.
"Elle I was wondering where the hell you went. Let's go." I waved Elle over and she nodded while Campbell looked at me with a frown.
"Who are you?" Campbell asked confused.
"Oh, I'm John. I'll catch you later bud." I waved, while me and Elle walked back out of the church and into a quiet corner of the building.
"Thanks," Elle said curtly while looking at me.
"No problem. You should stay away from Campbell, he's not a good guy." I said and Elle seemed to think so as well.
"I'll keep that in mind, Besty," Elle smirked.
I smiled while scratching my head with a nervous chuckle.
"How did you know my name anyway and why I haven't seen you before?" Elle asked while looking confused.
"Heard someone say it and I just moved to town so it's normal that you haven't seen me."
"Ah, makes sense," Elle said before yawning.
"Why don't I walk you home?" I asked.
"No, it's fine. It's only a 10-minute walk." Elle waved it off.
"I don't mind. Lead the way." I smirked at Elle who rolled her eyes and started walking and it just happened to be in the same direction as his house.
"This is your house?" I asked while looking at the mansion that was only 2 minutes from mine.
"Yeah. Why?" Elle asked while unlocking her door.
"I only live two minutes from here. If you ever need anything, feel free to come over."
"Sure." Elle nodded.
"You have a good night, Elle." I waved.
"You to John." Elle smiled before closing the door.
The next morning, he took a shower and ate breakfast with Charlie before loading up a few guns in his black Chevy Suburban and driving off toward the bridge that led outside of the town, or used to at least.
The reason he was waiting on the bridge was because he knew that four important men would be showing up here in a bit only to find out that they were surrounded by forest completely.
Those four men were Harry, Luke, Grizz, and Clarke. They were the four men he needed to get on his side before there even were sides.
He needed manpower and all of them were easy to manipulate and mold except Grizz.
He had been leaning on his car waiting when he finally saw Harry and the crew pulling up in his BMW.
They all got out and stared with wide eyes at the forest that completely cut the bridge off.
Not believing it they looked over at the train tracks but were left stunned when they saw that even the train tracks were gone and blocked by the forest.
"Looks like we're trapped huh," I said aloud causing them to look over at me.
"Who are you," Harry asked still a little wide-eyed from the whole situation.
"John. Just moved into town not long ago."
Harry nodded.
"You know now that we are trapped food is going to get scarce eventually. People are going to need homes and jobs might have to be assigned so things stay running here."
The four took a second to think before nodding.
"So?" Harry asked.
I activated my Kingly Aura and a feeling of being a ruler rushed into me.
The four men in front of me unconsciously thought following my orders was the right decision.
"So, I want you to follow me. I'll be the king and you'll be my guard. Someone needs to make the hard choices." I said and they all nodded.
"Why should we follow you? Why not you follow me?" Harry said with a small frown.
"Because you don't have what it takes to lead, I do," I said.
"Who says I don't have what it takes," Harry said with an annoyed look.
"I do." I pulled out my pistol and aimed it at Harry causing him to step back.
"Woahh calm down man!" Grizz said.
"Do you understand now?" I put the gun away and Harry seemed thoughtful.
"What do we get from this?" Clark asked.
'Haha, this meathead.' I thought with a chuckle.
"As part of my guard, you won't be assigned jobs unless I give you a job to do. Each of my guards gets their own house along with more food and privileges You also get your own gun once you are trained."
"Sounds good to me." Clark nodded.
"But let me warn you. If you don't meet my standards or disobey me, you're off The Guard."
"I guess I'm in," Harry said with a small nod.
"What about Cassandra? Most people trust her more, including me." Grizz asked
"We're about to call Cassandra over and I'm going to convince her to be under me right now. She won't like it but she will understand that she can't do much if she doesn't have some force behind her."
He saw Grizz nod and over on the side he saw Harry smirking.
"Harry let me warn you. I don't give a shit about your little ego war with Cassandra. If you make any waves that I don't permit you to make ill beat your ass."
Harry frowned.
I took a few steps closer and got in his face.
"I control everything. I can make your life heaven or hell. Is that understood?" I said while staring into Harry's eyes.
"Understood." Harry nodded.
It seemed he had finally relented for the time being.
"What about you Grizz, Luke?"
"Alright, I'm in." Grizz nodded which also caused Luke to nod.
It seemed Luke followed Grizz and trusted him a lot.
"Grizz text Cassandra, tell her what happened and to get over here," I said and Grizz nodded before texting Cassandra.
"She's on her way."
A few minutes later we saw Cassandra pull up in her car with Allie her sister.
They saw the bridge that disappeared and looked wide-eyed.
They took a few minutes to relax before they began spouting out ideas on what might of happened to us.
"Maybe it's a dream," Allie said.
"No, there's got to be a good explanation." Cassandra shook her head.
"You two shut up. You're giving me a headache." I said with a frown.
"Who are you?" Allie asked while Cassandra also seemed to want to know.
'How many times am I going to have to answer this question?'
"John. I just moved into town." I said.
"Why should we shut up? We need to figure out what happened to us." Cassandra said.
"No, we really don't," I said, and everyone looked at each other.
"What?!"
