In the middle of space, there were a group of people moving towards a certain direction.
Leo and his wives were at the back of the group while the empresses were at the upfront leading the group. His wives were releasing a strange aura that was originally not there with them.
He was busy with the system again, as he had unlocked a lot of skills from his talents that he inherited. There were too many of them.
[Host, these are not the complete skills from your talents. There are still more than a thousand miscellaneous skills in your talents that you have not unlocked yet.]
"Miscellaneous?…THOUSANDS!?"
Both parties argued about these skills, as the system itself was having trouble processing the information from inheritance of not one but 11 progenitors.
Of course, they would have thousands of skills, and the reason was simple.
THEY WERE "THE PROGENITORS".
According to the system, the approximate number of skills that were accumulated in the inheritances had passed the threshold of 23,000 which was too much for the "One Day Cultivator" who reached Foundation Established in a couple of hours.
Due to the new skills being added, the assimilation rate had decreased to 0.81%.
To his surprise, the system was not able to control the passive skills and if it tried to do something with the skills it would start glitching.
[!@#$ Err@r]
[System is not able to interfere with passives. Apologies to the host.]
…
Leo came out of his mind thinking that the system needed some time to regain its composure … if it had any.
As soon as he opened his eyes, there was only one scene he could picture.
DESTRUCTION!
Small, medium or big planets that were at least 20 to 30 times bigger than earth, were all left with deep craters that started at one point, but their impact had caused numerous web like cracks that embraced the whole planets.
These cracks had reached the depth of planets, eventually disrupting their cores that caused their gravitational fields to expand or shrink.
Small planets were stuck in larger ones, while the large planets were aimlessly floating in their orbits, where the asteroids would collide with them at any time.
These planets had been a part of some solar system that was stronger than the one where Earth was.
Why?
Because this solar system didn't have a sun but a red dwarf.
Red dwarf stars are known for their violent solar flares. These flares can be up to a thousand times more powerful than the largest flares from Earth's sun. Red-dwarf flares can emit intense radiation that can strip away the atmospheres of planets and make them uninhabitable.
These planets had been in this state for who knows how much time, but the destruction on their bodies were not caused by solar flares of the red dwarf.
The craters on their bodies were in random directions, and most of the planets had these craters to the opposite sides of their surface from red dwarf, where the solar flares couldn't reach.
The red dwarf itself had dimmed too much, which meant that it had reached the old age according to earth's knowledge,
The solar system had been dead for a long time and there were no signs of these planets being able to rotate, so there must have been "external factors" responsible for this destruction.
He didn't want to think about these external factors. It was too much.
Lifting a mountain, dividing a sea, these must be possible but … is this even allowed?!
What's the point of physics and universal laws?!
One more point that he had noticed was that before reaching this solar system they all had passed through some kind of curtain or something. As soon as they passed through the so-called curtain, the environment became eerie and lifeless.
All they could see was destruction.
After passing through dozens of the lifeless colossal bodies, he felt a familiar presence.
His heart ached due to this presence's plead, and his eyes turned pitch black.
It was not just one presence. He turned his head towards one of the giant lifeless bodies behind him. Small wisps of black energy were pouring out from the cracks, they started from thousands but began increasing tremendously.
These black wisps began rushing towards Leo and soon began to envelop him. To his surprise, these black wisps soon turned white when reaching his body.
Every planet that he had passed through was releasing these black wisps of energy. The number of these black wisps of energy had already surpassed billions, reaching trillions.
The black wisps were being absorbed in his body immediately as soon as they turned white. They did enter the body, but immediately rushed towards the lotus shaped soul that was welcoming them.
They poured into the root ends and began to race towards the lotus head. For some reason, before these white wisps could reach the lotus head, they were hungrily absorbed by the roots.
Tens of thousands of the wisps had been absorbed by the roots until they had become stronger and wider than before. Suddenly, the number of roots began to divide themselves, making them receive more of these wisps of energy.
But this time the white wisps were able to rush towards the lotus head, making it shiver and enclosing its petals. The input of these wisps didn't stop, instead it increased to at least 10 to 15 times.
The lotus bud immediately began to shine after a few minutes and opened its bud. Its flower was not the same as before, and its petals had begun to store these white wisps.
The number of petals had increased to be more than thousands.
An hour had passed since the wisps had begun entering Leo's body.
The number had not decreased at all, but increased, making the numbers only dwindle a little.
Leo was not idle in the complete hour, as the white wisps that his soul absorbed were none other than the souls of the people of this fallen solar system. Millions of years had passed since they had been killed mercilessly just for an unruly cultivator passing his boredom.
Their souls had long shattered, turning them into these incomplete wisps of soul fragments. There was only pain in their last moments, and Leo felt every single one of them.
At this moment, he had finally stopped underestimating the evil nature of people whom he admired for their strength.
He didn't want to avenge them, but he felt their pain to the point he thought that he had suffered the same treatment. He was lost in his thoughts of a choice which was hard to make.
The wisps of energy were now being hungrily absorbed by his body without any restrain. It was just that his humanoid form lotus soul had begun rejecting these wisps of excess soul.
The wisps became restless and begun moving inside his body. They began fusing in his physical body, and some wisps also sneaked into his dantian.
Another body transformation had begun, but Leo didn't turn into a rocky cocoon this time, as he was busy absorbing these poor soul fragments from both his body and soul.
