Mei Wen eyes shot up as she was drawn to an old broken accessories pallet on the innermost corner of the shelf .
She looked at Gu Yao whose eyes was locked on her the whole time ,when he saw that she needed his tallness ,he was overjoyed and went to her side .
" What do you need"
" The broken box ....It feels intriguing"
The sales woman walked over to their side and look at the box in confusion.
" I don't think that's ours, bring it over for a scan"
They all walked towards the counter and the saleswoman scanned it repeatedly before calling her boss .
The box was not registered as one of the products they were selling.
"Maybe a customer forgot it here ,and it seems to be a long time ago,it shows though the packaging sir "
" Hmmmm.....just sell it off at a low price then ".
The boss said nonchalantly, "afterall ,I can get a profit from it,I don't mind it "
The saleswoman pursed her lips in dissatisfaction as she listened to his words but she couldn't say anything about it ,he was her boss afterall .
" Yes sir"she said begrudgingly,she hanged up and mummered some bad words before facing Mei Wen and Gu Yao. "Sir are you buying this?".
He then looked at Mei Wen who was fiddling around with a clear jade bracelet, she looked up at the saleswoman and gave her the bracelet in her hands .
" And this too please,thank you"
Some minutes later....
" Are you hungry?", Gu Yao looked at Mei Wen who was staring at a doughnut shop for a while now .
She looked up at him and perfunctorily shaked her head.
"No ,this is where Liang Jing and I used to buy donuts and ice-cream and we'd usually sit down on the bench over there, I was just wondering how she's doing now,she must be sad now since it's been awhile since I've been to work...."
She looked back at the shop as memories flashed by her eyes .
" If I done with visiting your family and dealing with Zhuang Xian I'll go back to work, okay "
Gu Yao froze up before looking at Mei Wen, he held her hand and rubbed it gently .
" I can provide for you already,why do you still want to work ".
Mei Wen looked at Gu Yao's eyes which were filled with genuine love and started to get lost in his eyes.
She looked away from him to hide her reddened face.
" It gives me a sense of accomplishment, that's why."
Gu Yao sighed as he knew that he wouldn't be able to easily convince her so he grabbed her hands and dragged her to the doughnut store.
They walked inside and attracted a lot of attention instantly.
A lot of people were lining up for doughnuts so they sat down to wait .
A lot of people were throwing the couple looks. Some girls were busy drooling at the sight of Gu Yao who was currently wearing a casual shirt.

Finally the line was beginning to be free so Mei Wen gave Gu Yao her order when he offered to go and buy it.
" There's no need to do this , I'll go myself , what do you want to have"
Mei Wen's brows raised a bit as she looked at Gu Yao who was more or less the rumoured *golden retriever boyfriend*, or perhaps husband and she frowned a little bit before dissolving her previous thoughts.
" Gu Yao ,why are you indulging me so much "
Mei Wen asked seriously but she suddenly blushed when she heard his answer.
" If I don't indulge you ,who else can I indulge, myself... You're my wife , it's normal for me to do this things, moreover I love you"
Gu Yao said seriously after thinking for a while.
Mei Wen had already turned into a tomato and quickly gave Gu Yao her order and pushed him away as if it would help her escape from him.
Gu Yao realising that Mei Wen was shy because of what he said laughed gently and went away to order.
