The whole room tensed up for a while as everyone's face , especially Gu Yao's dad face turned serious.
" This is a serious matter ...are you talking about..." Before old Master Gu could finish talking Gu Yao spoke up .
" You should know that I've been investigating about their death with the clues you gave me dad and I owe you one for that , I found out that they are enemies of a strong force and I don't know what to do again as I couldn't even figure out what family that is but I know that the Mei's branch family are part of the scheme."
Gu Yao's mum flared up immediately as she stood up to let out her pent up anger .
" I knew it I always told her that there was something wrong with that family of hers but she never listens to me "
" Wei Wei,calm down a bit let's try to figure this out together , look on the bright side , their only child was able to survive ,the heavens can't be too partial to the wicked " Gu Tao said trying to calm his wife down before she did any rash things to the Mei's branch family.
" Dad's right on this one , we need to think about a plan to bring out the enemy from his hiding place" Gu Yao said seriously as he thought about how to lay a trap for the unknown .
" Oh do bring the poor child back ,let's try and make it up to her on behalf of the past mishaps " Li Wei said calmly as some memories of her old days flashed by her eyes .
The atmosphere in the room shifted from tension to a determined focus on resolving the mystery.
"We need to be cautious," Gu Yao emphasized. "Our priority is to protect Mei Wen and unveil the enemy's identity without putting her in more danger."
Old Master Gu nodded in agreement.

Old Master Gu added, "We must tread carefully. The enemy is formidable, and we need to strategize to ensure Mei Wen's safety."
Li Wei, despite her earlier outburst, chimed in with a calm demeanor. "Bring the poor child back. We'll extend our support to her. It's time to rectify the past."
Gu Yao smiled sadly as he then looked up and sighed .
" She doesn't remember the past , looks like someone still had pity on her and instead of killing her they just wiped off her memories but I'm helping her" .
He then suddenly revealed an evil smirk and turned to his mum.
" Haven't you always wanted a daughter in law , those days are coming soon" .
The whole room was filled with the shocked gazes of Gu Yao's parents.
Suddenly Li Wei got up and started beating up Gu Yao who was confused about the whole situation , he gave his mum a great daughter in law and she was still beating him up.
" You idiot if a son ,I should have never trusted you with your love life , didn't you think that she was going to be scared of you , aiyoo why do you make me worry , I'll not let my precious wen wen marry you , I'll look for people better than you to get her married to, how will she get married to a blockhead , no I don't agree to this "

" Remember to eat properly !" She shouted before she left with the ' wife slave' tailing after her .

Gu Yao was looking happy in a while as he stared at Mei Wen who was signing the contract that he drafted up , even though to him the contract was just a trick to make her marry him ,he suddenly felt embarrassed as he rubbed his nose in shame ,but when he felt like he was doing this for her sake also he shamelessly straightened up his back as he stared at her with his dreamy yet sharp eagle eyes.
Mei Wen couldn't be less bothered with him as she was feeling his change in mood occasionally.

" Done! Here take it , it's getting late I have to go soon ".
He slyly looked at her and told Zhang Yi to bring out the certificates.
Zhang Yi gave a red booklet to Mei Wen who was looking shocked at the efficiency of his connections .

When Gu Yao gaze that was filled with love landed on her , she bent her head shyly as she felt her own heartbeat going faster than usual .
Gu Yao glanced at Zhang Yi who instantly received the message and went away leaving the study for Gu Yao and his new shy wifey .
Gu Yao slowly walked towards Mei Wen whose heart stirred as she looked up at the handsome face that was coming closer , a memory of a young boy looking at her with the same gaze flashed by her eyes making her soul stir a little bit.
She felt much sure that she had made the right decision in marrying this handsome devil .
" Mrs Gu , do you want to leave your husband on the wedding night , that's not right is it ?"
Mei Wen, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement, couldn't help but chuckle nervously.

Mei Wen's that calmed down a little started to beat louder than ever and her face was as red as a tomato sauce.
