Succumbing to his drunken stupor, Chi Cheng drifted off to sleep in the comforting arms of the Grandmaster. His mind drowned in a sea of memories that had long been veiled with his past.
He was lured into a memory of a garden in the Celestial Realm which he'd seen briefly before when he woke up in the Grandmaster's study. Dwelling in the body of his Celestial Beast form, Chi Cheng propped his head on his two front paws.
His white, furry ears twitched as the Celestial gongs rang in a rhythmic chunter in the distance, but he paid no mind to the summons. Laying peacefully on a stretch of luscious greenery, grass blades swaying from the heavenly zephyrs, 𝑱𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈'𝒔 one of three tails swished behind him.
"Ah-Ling," a gentle voice called out to him and he recognised it instantly, but being too engrossed in his slumber, he didn't perk his head up. "Ah-Ling, we need to leave soon. His Grace has summoned us."
