Who was this? Who was screaming like the world was coming to an end?
Serena felt all woozy and the extreme pain all over her body didn't help either. Where was she? Why didn't she remember anything? Why was her body feeling like she had taken a heavy beating? She groggily sat up and looked up at the green sky in a daze, wait Green?!! Her eyes widened and she trembled unconsciously as she looked at the spooky looking sky through the transparent screen.
'How can the sky be green? That's practically impossible. Where the hell am I?' As a horde of questions and doubts arose in her mind Serena heard a female speak in an extremely mocking tone.
"If you can't make her majesty the Royal mother proud, at least don't go around raising trouble everyday, first sister. And don't cause more trouble now."
Serena whipped her head towards the mean voice with confusion filled eyes. The speaker, a very beautiful woman, alongside another one with a stoic face, was looking at her, with the beauty's face scrunched up in undisguised disgust. The women then hurried down the vehicle they were in.
Climbing down the vehicle which very much resembled a UFO with trembling legs, Sera felt her jaw fall to the ground as she looked at the building in front of her. No it would be an understatement to call it a building, it was a magnificent combination of a castle and a skyscraper.
"Aah!" As she lifted her feet to step forward, she missed an inconspicuous step, her ankle twisted at an odd degree as she felt her world spin.
Falling flat on the ground, the last things she saw before blacking out were the numerous mocking gazes surrounding her and then the freaking green sky.
"Ding! System incorporation complete. Welcome host, System 004 exclusively at your service." Serena heard a robotic voice in her foggy consciousness.
'Who is this?', Serena questioned cautiously in her mind. "Hello host, I am the 'Rising Star' system. You have met all of our requirements, thus making your soul a perfect match for the system. I am here to guide and assist you in this world." Serena felt her lips twitch as she heard the unexpectedly enthusiastic voice.
'Ok, but where am I and why was the sky green?'
"Host right now you're in a parallel universe. This world is thousands of years ahead of your original one, and you are the eldest and the crown princess, 'Serena Van Roseletta' of this kingdom. Oh and the sky is green here because of all the lethal toxins in the atmosphere. Humans blinded by their insatiable greed destroyed the natural balance, which resulted in the occurrence of numerous apocalypses one after the other. The flora and fauna underwent drastic mutations under extreme conditions and eventually even humans were forced to forcefully mutate through scientific mutations in order to survive." The system unceremoniously dropped bomb after bombs at Serena as she felt herself shudder while listening to 004.
