As the entire group walked through the door that opened for them they were all silent. After a couple minutes of walking they found themselves in a massive room. As torches around the room began to be lit up they saw the room was covered in statues that were standing on what looked like a chess board. In the center of the board there was a tower and at the base of the tower there were 7 circles for people to stand on. Heading up the tower they saw a smaller version of the board and a small book explaining the rules of this room.
In order to finish this trial the representative of order must guide the other gods from the center of the board to the edge. However you must avoid the statues spread around the board as if they face one of the gods they will destroy them. The statues make a quarter rotation after all of the gods have taken their moves and the gods can move up to two spaces on the board every turn. Val looked over and read everything trying to make a plan. But soon after a wave of exhaustion hit him as he asked the others if they can complete it another day. Everyone soon agreed as they were also tired and just wanted to rest. Heading out Isaac stopped Val before they headed out.
"Something is going to happen the moment we leave. I don't know how I know but I just do."
Heading out of the trials through their tunnels they were soon ambushed like they expected. Both Val and Isaac pretend to be knocked out so that they can gather information on who is going against them. The others tried to fight back but were quickly overwhelmed, being knocked out and kidnapped. Isaac and Val felt themselves being carried away while they used their higher senses to figure out where they were headed. The aura the kidnappers were letting off felt like cold slime that was slithering across their skin. Soon they were thrown into a van as they were tied up before they were driven away to an unknown location.
After around an hour of driving they were soon dragged out of the van and thrown on to the floor before being splashed with water to wake them up. As they all stirred into consciousness they saw that they were in a barn with 5 hooded figures in front of them. The one in the center held a dagger and a staff and the hoods of the figures had an eye that looked to be crossed out and blind.
As Isaac and Val observed the situation they realized that the ropes that bound their wrists weren't that strong so with their enhanced bodies they could break through them with a bit of struggling. They however decided to not break out to hopefully get some information, or in the worst case if the people in the hoods decided to attack any of the people then Isaac and Val would eliminate them. Killing them might seem extreme but it would be in defense. Such a flimsy excuse but they prepared themselves to do what was needed to protect themselves and the members of their group. The members of their group were innocents who got mixed up in the fight between the void beings and the library so Isaac and Val didn't mind the thought of killing these people since they were no longer humans in their eyes. They were monsters who sold their world to the beings of madness and destruction for power.
[Well then thank you for joining this meeting. I am quite sorry for the sudden nabbing but I thought it was time that we met.] The person in the front stepped forward speaking with a feminine voice that seemed like a young woman. Pulling down her hood her face seemed normal and quite young except one glaring flaw. One of her eyes was pitch black with dark veins that looked like snakes were spreading out of the eye and into the surrounding skin. When she revealed her face everyone looked on in shock as some of the members of Isaac's and Val's group retreated a bit in fear slowly backing up while on the ground.
[How rude of you to retreat in fear after I show you my beautiful face. But I will let it slide for now.]
"Mind telling us why you kidnapped us?" As Isaac spoke the lady looked at him with an intense gaze while smiling.
[Well we have someone who is fearless. Are you sure I don't scare you?]
"Mind answering the question?"
[You forget who is in control in this situation, boy. But I like you so I will be nice. We kidnapped you because we know what you have been doing and we are here to tell you to stop. You will not get the artifact.]
"And if I refuse?"
{Isaac don't antagonize them.} Val looked at Isaac with a concerned expression as he whispered to Isaac.
"Don't worry I know what I'm doing."
[Well if you don't stop trying to get the artifact then we will be forced to kill you.] With a wicked smile on her face she leaned in close to Isaac. [And I would quite like to carve up that pretty face of yours.]
As she said this Val glared at her and released a faint killing intent but the woman just laughed it off. [You don't scare me kid. I have seen the face of my God and I know both true fear and power. We are the servants of the blind beast and we will not be stopped.] She began to laugh with a crazed laugh letting out a dark aura. As everyone except Isaac and Val retreated even farther in fear. Even the other members of her group stepped back as they whispered to each other.
"Well we won't stop searching and you trying to kill us will just result in your death. So go ahead and try I dare you." With a smirk Isaac stared at the woman causing her to stop laughing.
[Well then so be it.] As she said this she got close to Isaac and with an extremely fast movement drew out a knife from her robe and plunged it into his chest. With a gasp of pain Isaac seemed to crumple for a moment before staring at her while smiling before croaking out a response.
"I'd say it was nice knowing you but to be honest you seem like a bitch. Well no matter what I won't be seeing you again."
With a sudden roar behind her the woman jumped back in shock.

Hey everyone, sorry if the quality of my writing seems lower. I have been going through some things and haven't had much motivation to write or anything. I'm trying to get back into it though so I hope you stick with me.
Anyways how do you feel about the trouble that is coming to the two of them soon? I don't feel confident writing conflicts so I am trying my best.
