Chapter 44 - 44) The Mirror Dimension

With a wave of his hand, the floor beneath Wanda looked all the more like a broken mirror, that son consumed her.

Before she knew it she was falling towards New York from an immense height. She looked down as the city appeared to warp in itself, making a large hole with what looked like the sky behind it.

The City as she knew it became different as she fell through small gaps between buildings until she used her magic to land herself on the floor.

"What is this place?" questioned Wanda, confused and scared.

"The Mirror Dimension. Here everything is under my control, I told you I was going easy on you" replied Strange, and with another movement of his hand the buildings started to shift and pieces started to turn.

Every building was separated into eight identical ones and slowly arched into a circle, along with all the furniture and stairs.

The ground Wanda was standing on began to move upwards and tilt causing her to slide off, landing on the new plane of ground below her.

Wanda's hand became an even darker red as all the glass and the windows of all the buildings shattered forming small and sharp shards that charged toward Strange.

With a small wave of his hand, all the shards turned to dust and slowly fell to the ground. Wanda took a step back looking at the rain of glass dust fell.

"I told you I control everything here. Surrender and I might spare you" asked Strange.

Wanda screamed while firing bursts and bursts of chaos energy towards Strange whose figure became invisible amongst the dark cloud left behind. Wanda came to a stop and Strange's figure became more and more clear as the dark cloud slowly dissipated revealing him completely unscathed.

"HOW!" Yelled Wanda

In response strange flicked his hand causing the road in front of him to rise creating a barrier. Strange levitated above it with his red cloak and spoke an enchantment "Chains Of Krakkan".

Orange glowing chains conjured from the road around Wanda and started to circle her. She tried to destroy them with her chaos blasts but was quickly restrained by the chains before losing balance and falling to the floor.

"Now, I think it's time you tell me about your band of friends, in grave detail." said Strange opening a Portal and dragging Wanda through.

She continued to struggle, trying to get loose as she moaned and groaned as she was scrapped across the floor.

Strange had beaten Wanda with ease.

BATTLEFIELD

Peter a band of web between two pillars and stuck a boulder on it. As Behemoth and Black Bolt came closer, Peter started to pull back on his slingshot letting it fly.

The large piece of rubble glided towards Behemoth, lifting his hand to protect his face as the rock collided with it smashing into pieces across the floor.

"You ok?" asked Black Bolt.

"I'm fine" he replied, and the two continued to march towards the building Peter was at.

"Shit, how am I supposed to beat that" muttered Peter in response. A plan came to mind in Peter's head. "It's stupid but it might just work" he muttered again.

Peter placed another piece of rumble on his slingshot and wedged himself between the two and walked back. Eventually, he picked up his feet and was launched towards the two along with the rock.

He positioned himself on the far left out of their sight. Behemoth did the same thing and as the boulder shattered Peter's section fell to the floor. Peter fell onto the floor and jumped back onto his feet before leaping towards Behemoth.

Black Bolt looked back at Behemoth to see Peter leaping towards him. "WATCH OUT!" he yelled sending another electron beam towards Peter.

Behemoth looked behind him to see Peter closing in and yet he couldn't do a thing.

Peter's senses went wild but he continued and hoped he could press the button before the beam reached him.

Peter got flung away again rolling through the sand and dirt, using his hands to leap back onto his feet.

"BEHEMOTH OUT!"

Peter pumped his fist, "GET IN!" he yelled.

The sounds of a helicopter came into hearing and vision, with a man standing next to a machine gun, as Peter, Behemoth, and Black Bolt stared at it.

Peter's senses started warning him, "GET DOWN" yelled Peter running towards Black Bolt.

A flurry of bullets landed around the arena, most falling making a pile, and hitting what seemed like an invisible barrier. Black Bolt held his hands up shielding the three of them from the barrage of bullets.

A small hum quickly changed into a high-pitched whine as a beam of blue energy turned the helicopter into flames as it fell, exploding.

The three looked up to see Tony Stark encased in his suit of armor, levitating with a fading echo from his hand, slowly gliding towards them with a few jeeps pulling up behind him.

"Oh my God that was so fucking cool" blurted out Peter before questioning, "But what the fuck just happened?".

"The city is about to be attacked by a terrorist organization called Usurpation and we have to stop them" replied Tony.

"I feel like there's a lot of information you just left out" replied Peter.

"Don't worry I'll talk about it in more detail, first we need to assemble the team," replied Tony as the other contestants and Avengers exited their jeeps, walking towards them.

VOYAGER PRISON

A man with long and greasy green hair, dressed in an orange prison uniform lay on his bed and staring at the roof with screams and gunshots in the background. The man could hear a set of footsteps that ended at the entrance of his cell.

"Hello, Mr. Scarlotti." said an old and shriveled voice.

Scarlotti got up from his bed and looked at the man confronting him. "What do you want?" he replied.

"I believe you have some unfinished business. Me and my fellow... individuals, are interested in helping you fulfill your goals." replied the man.

"And what would that goal be exactly?" asked Scarlotti.

"We will help you kill Iron Man, and once we've conquered New York you'll be free to do as you wish. We already have Mr. Taggert on board, and of course, we brought you your suit" said the man as another wheeled in a set of grey armor and mask that resembled Iron Man's suit, but with long bands of whip-like chains from his arms

Scarlotti smiled, "Now we're talking" he replied as the old man opened the door Scarlotti put on his suit. "If you want Iron Man dead, you'll get what you want but I wouldn't mind some extra cash to go with it" he added.

"Fine, 10 million" replied the old man.

"Done" replied Scarlotti.
