Peter slowly crawled through his window and changed into his pajamas while standing on the roof and hid his costume in a small bag in the back corner of his wardrobe. He slowly dropped down into his bed and went to sleep.
The next morning Peter got changed into some casual clothes, picked up his little bag, and ran downstairs. He grabbed a slice of toast from the toaster and opened the front door "I'm going to the library, I'll see you later alright? Love you" He announced.
"Hey, wh..." Before Uncle Ben could finish his sentence Peter closed the door. He walked up towards Aunt May "What is up with that boy. He isn't usually like this" he spoke.
"He's a teenager Ben. We used to be like when we were young remember" smiled Aunt May
"Don't remind me. The young me doesn't exist for both of us alright, we don't talk about those times" replied Uncle Ben, and Aunt May smiled and chuckled in response.
Peter headed towards this alleyway and quickly pulled his outfit from his little bag and put it on. He webbed the empty bag on the wall and climbed to the top of the building. He took a run up before jumping off the roof and began to swing across New York. The whizzing of air and honks were all Peter could hear. "WOOOO" he screamed while gliding through the air with a huge smile on his face.
While swinging across his spider sense activated and a tingling sensation covered his body. He quickly found a high rooftop to perch on.
He scoured the opposing rooftops looking for what could be causing his spider sense to activate. On the building opposite of him, he saw someone lying prone with what appeared to be a gun, 'Is that?' questioned Peter. A red beam of light crossed between the tall apartment complexes.
"SHIT" Peter roared and jumped from the roof and dived down towards the place the laser pointed. He flipped himself upwards just above the targeted window and swung himself through the window with his web.
It was a fancy apartment with a white tiled floor and white walls. In the middle of the room was a white couch with a brown table in front facing a large TV. A middle-aged lady with brown shoulder-length hair and a pair of black reading glasses. She was huddled up on her couch reading a book when shattered glass erupted towards her with a strangely dressed man just behind.
Peter rolled across the floor and banged into the wall full force making a loud bang. "WHAT THE FUCK" yelled the woman standing up from her seat dropping her book to the ground.
"COME WITH ME" Peter yelled holding out a hand.
"NO THE FUCK I WON'T" she replied slowly stepping away from Peter and picking up the phone from the table.
Another tingle shivered through Peter's body. He webbed the woman and pulled her towards him as a bullet flew past barely missing and placing a hole in the wall.
"Want to follow me now?" Peter remarked and the lady nodded in response in fear. He ran towards the door. He rammed through the door and waved his hand for the lady to follow "Let's take the stairs".
"Do you know how many stairs there are? I'm too old for that" replied the Lady.
"Ok then" Peter paused computing what was happening and looking around to see another way. "We can take the elevator? Is that alright?" he questioned.
"That would be wonderful dear" replied the lady and the two crossed their arms and Peter pressed the elevator button. The two stayed silent while going down to the ground floor. "So what's your name sweetie?" the lady asked trying to break the silence.
"Oh, I'm Pe... I mean Spider-Man mam" Replied Peter coughing in between and deepening his voice when it came to saying his superhero name and the deathly silence returned.
The elevator finally reached the bottom and the doors slowly opened. Peter grabbed the old lady's hand and ran towards the front exit right past the front desk leaving the secretary confused at what transpired.
"Let's take the alleyway, it will have more cover," Peter told the old lady leading her around the corner.
"I'm too old for this young man" replied the old lady.
"Only a little bit longer ok?" Peter replied trying to reassure her.
They finally made it to the alleyway and the old lady was slightly hunched over gasping for breath. "I'll go quickly check if anyone is chasing us alright" replied Peter while backing out of the street and facing the old lady.
The tingling sensation ran threw Peter's body again from his head to his toes slowly, and it looked like time slowed down. The old lady was still hunched over and the birds flying above him moved slowly above him.
He slowly turned around and saw a woman dressed in a latex purple garment covering most of her body, with gaps around her cleavage area, barely exposing them. She had half-flat and half-tousled black hair with a knee-length ponytail kept together by a metal layer. She had pink latex gloves on with black diagonal lines stripped across holding a dark black handgun in her left hand.
The gun glowed orange as the mystery lady fired her gun. Peter was too far from the old lady now to push her out of the way and he didn't want to pull her down with rope too quickly to kill her from head trauma before the bullet did. He could only stand there and watch as the bullet quickly closed in.
It was about to whizz past his shoulder but moved it in the way, to stop it from hitting the old lady. It pierced his skin and almost went right through as the bullet remained stuck in his shoulder. He held the place immediately screaming and wincing in pain, even after hyping himself up he could never have imagined how painful it truly was. The wound gushed blood and it enveloped his hand as Peter glared at the woman in front of him hyperventilating trying to keep his mind off the pain.
"Hmm, a superhuman are we? You'll be fun to kill" she spoke and chuckled, smiling. She had a deep voice French accent and threw her handgun to the ground. "Entertain me. I've needed a challenge for some time now" she stated cracking her knuckles and glaring back at Peter.
