Chapter 41 - The Great & Fallen

Xerxes couldn't believe what happened. He looked at his past life like a movie flashing before him, though Wetwawet is happy to bring him in to the underworld, he felt down since he thought Xerxes would live longer and stronger. He thought General Hydra or Pharaoh Henshupta would come next after General Jardin-Ur.

If only I knew that I would die soon, I should've hugged and loved my family, had a wife or children or treated my men nicely, humanely!!!!. Now it's over. My life is over…, Xerxes crying, while on his knees seeing his past life and how inhuman he was, forgiveness is overrated. He knows that after this, he will be thrown into the pit of eternal fire forever. What now? What will my people become now that I have died and couldn't help or lead them?

Was held captive by Hekanefer. Hekanefer fell in love with Henshupta and our pharaoh learned to love him and bore a child from him, that she will name Hekhenshepsut. He will fight along with Henshupta to defeat Xerxes of Persia. Gen Jardin Ur gave his life to protect the queen before he died he asked for her forgiveness. Henshu forgave her friend and kissed his forehead to bid him goodbye with tears in her eyes as she let her friend let go to go to Anubis.

Jardin-Ur was always with Meraek's side to help her cope up with Henshu's captivity. Henshu's friends including Angianasim and Omari helped Sabah to attend to head of state's responsibilities while Henshu's gone. Prince Hekanefer tried to conquer Thebes and Cairo but he lost since Jardin-Ur became General since General Aim was killed in battle. General Jardin- Ur now became the head of the Infantry, General Gyasi Om of the Chariotry and General Omari Amne joined their forces together to look for Queen Henshu but to no luck she seemed to disappear and they are all frustrated and losing hope when finally with the aid of a court spy, they were able to trace where Henshu was held captive. Egyptians are well known to have court spies as their papyri describes it for the benefit of Egypt's extensive military and slave trade operations. Pharaohs employ agents to espionage to ferret out disloyal subject and locate tribes that can be conquered and enslaved. Henshupta uses wide range of spies for domestic and international purposes and Egypt is the first to develop codes and encryption for passing clandestine messages, thus, laying the framework for many current espionage techniques and tactics which a beloved king gave to him when she was just thirteen and new to rule Egypt.

Jardin-Ur will betray Henshupta and snatch the throne from her while sending Spia a court spy and head of the espionage team to kill the queen. But when Nubians, Prince Hekanefer came to invade Egypt the second time around, Jardin-Ur felt sorry for betraying Henshu since Sadiki and the elders thought that it's best to put another scribe by the name of Ptolemy.

.

She came back to Thebes and saw the council elders while on their meeting, Sabah stood on the pharaoh's seat and ran to greet the queen. General Jardin-Ur's eyes widened and Sadiki pulled him to the side of the meeting hall, asking why Henshupta is still alive.

The council celebrated Henshupta's return. But Henshupta seemed different, weak, her skin had blue and violet patches that Angianasim checked her up when laid to rest in her chamber. Meraek came running to hug Henshupta who is so frail and thin. She is almost skin and bones that Meraek almost died seeing her love so defeated, fragile, no life, joy or light as she had before.

Henshu will be assisted by Sakhbe but was seized as captive by the sadist, powerful yet passionate Prince Hekanefer and made Henshupta his wife by force. He was gentle at first but since Henshupta resists him he changed from a kind sheep to a flesh enslaving wolf which he is called in the battlefield. Henshu was always in shackles and after two years of being his sex slave, Henshu was aided by Sakhbe and freed her from captivity. She returned to Egypt weak and defeated. Hekanefer seized her city, Thebes and Cairo but not the whole nation. Henshu's father died protecting her honor and her seat. Sabah remained a faithful scribe and stood as temporary leader for Egypt while she's gone. But the council elders hated Henshu and charged her for treason leaving her throne vulnerable to her enemies. Meraek and Sabah helped Henshu and claiming her throne back.

She conquered many cities including Persia and other enemies of Egypt. She will need to have the new scribe Sabah as her right hand to help her reign. She will get hooked in riches, women and power.

Meraek will be seized since she will predict Henshupta's fate but waited on her until she returned. She will be taken away from Henshupta since they allegedly accused them of having illicit relations. She silently prayed to the gods and visited the dethroned Queen in prison but withheld information about how the pharaoh will rise from the ashes to conquer her seat again. Anhemnotep will be killed and Sadiki will try to save him but ending up conniving with a council elder who hated Henshupta as female Pharaoh as his ancestors were against female pharaoh's since Hapshetsut's. They plot to kill Henshupta and was successful on taking away from her her throne. She was imprisoned, raped, tortured but her right hand the young scribe to expose the corrupt elders who also plot the previous pharaoh's murder. Henshupta regained power and assumed throne as Pharaoh and lived all her life strengthening Egyptian army and trades that made Egypt richer and magnificent than before Pharaoh Hapshetsut. She reclaimed and restored Hapshetsut's superb works and name on Egyptian books with the help of her young scribe…

After my reign and my children's, pharaoh's became careful on choosing slaves. We try our best not to harm them and respect their rights as human beings. Then when famine came in 1700's the Israelites God who is the God of all gods literally bought and brought Joseph to us. Joseph, slave but learned became Zaphnath-Paaneah, the powerful and loved by Egypt, Israel and the world, vizier of Egypt…and that is a different story all together!
