I see!, okay, so, so serious!, mwah, urgh!, Meta said and slightly bit Hydra's ear that made her flinch in pain.
Ow!! You witchy woman, I'll get you for that!, Hydra said standing up and running off to catch Meta in the dark parts of the garden Then, there was silence. After a couple of minutes I heard moaning and breathing of all sorts. So I just gritted my teeth and smiled. I left the palace garden relieved that my loved general found her true love. It hurt me but I'm glad that Hydra found her forever even if we don't really know what will happen to us in Persia.
Bed her well my dear, bed my general well!, is the only thing I can utter in thoughts for now for my fave General Hydra.
Egyptian troops are preparing to travel and rule over Persia but then news came from Angianasim that the invention they tried to build to sense floods and storms has finally worked. It's been raining non-stop these couple of days and the radar their geologists team set up near the Nile alerted that a huge flood would come soon.
There are three flood seasons in Ancient Egypt that the people prepare for. One is Shemu which is from March to June, that the water is below water level of the river. Second is, Peret that starts from October to February, which the water is leveled on the islands shore. And lastly, there is Akhet, 'flooding season' that starts from July to October. Here the water overflows and the flood reaches the farms and homes of the villages. The one reason why pyramids needs to be higher and pointed so when huge floods come, people would still see where their city or village is. So that, when flood season is over, Egyptians would go back to their normal lives again, as usual.
Henshu postponed their colonizing Persia when Akhet floods hit most parts of Thebes and Cairo. Nile river suddenly went from low tide to high tides. Shadufs (shadoofs), or hand operated device to lift water are used and invented for farm irrigation for lands. Here a horizontal pole is mounted like a seesaw that gets water from a reservoir or well and lift itto be used in watering plantation lands of Egyptian farmers. During flood season, water is used and maximized by the farmers to help make irrigation systems better, easier. Water these plenty would last them for many weeks or even months, avoiding the hard labor of doing manual irrigation. Henshu, Hydra, Sabah, Angianasim, Meta and Meraek helped the guards, staff and the people In the village carry pails or bags using animal skins such as that of a bear or deer, lion or calf, to carry flood waters out of the palace or village homes smiling. Though it is a painstaking labor, Jaur playfully jumps and laughs in the flood waters while everyone is busy shadoofing the waters out of the royal kingdom and its premises.
In the middle of the natural calamity that Egypt is facing now, a strange man appeared in the front of the military barricades protecting the kingdom's forts. He is wearing tattered rags, sack cloths and his skin is really moldy, greasy and like he came out of the grave. Which is literally the case, when one spy explained what she saw a couple of feet away from the stranger who wanted to enter the gates of Egypt.
The guards pushed the man hard enough that he flew a few feet from where he was standing. Then, the scary thing happened. The man that was thought as scavenger, lunatic is a witch or sorcerer of some sort that took off his cloth mask and his eyes that were so red and shiny sent some kind of signals that the two guards pushing him away from the gates just turned numb and had a stroke. The sorcerer stood unhurt and as if lifted himself up and levitated a few inches from the ground and like a magnet caught the guards' sword, javelin or knives and threw them far away where they can't reach them. Then, he moved swiftly that the other guard didn't see the man coming and is already on top of him strangling his neck saying, "tell your queen that Xerxes has come back, fiercer and more powerful than before, be ready because I'm after you. I will suck every ounce of your blood and bit of air from you". Grrrr!!!!!. Ahhhhh!!!!, Xerxes shouted like a mad dog, a crazy man raging to fight and murder the pharaoh, queen Henshupta.
The guards nodded and ran away from Xerxes who just laughed and saw the men run like pitiful animals waiting to be butchered and eaten.
Waahhhhh…please help us, Xerxes has risen from the dead and he'll kill us. He said he'll kill the queen, the pharaoah! Xerxes will murder the queen!!! Please, general, help us!!!!, the two guards running from each side not knowing where to go or what to do. They both anxiously asked for my audience to relay the message, that Xerxes is alive and is about to kill the pharaoh. I was perplexed and slapped the guards to awaken them. Threw pails of water to refresh and control them, please! Feed them and clean them! It looked like they haven't eaten and bathed so yes!!!!
