The other captives in the room were all scared. ARIA said to Sohel, "It's ready, sir."
Sohel whispered, "Show me the simulation."
Naser got back up and was going towards the chair he was sitting in before. Just then Sohel screamed his name. Naser turned around and looked at him.
Sohel said, "You know I was really happy when I saw you at the airport the day before yesterday. You were like the brother I never had. Why did you have to become like this?"
Naser's face turned black. He said, "Oh, really. Then where were you when I needed you the most? You weren't there. Then, when I started to get back on my feet again, you just had to be there and try to ruin it. You know, to be honest, I always hated you. You had it all from the start. A loving family, a good brain, and a body that you could make the best of just by training a little. I was always jealous of you."
Naser turns back and sits on the chair.
Naser continued, "But it's alright now. In just a few hours, I'll be the happiest man. I'll have millions of dollars. You'll be gone too."
"Is there no way that you'll leave all these and go back to being my best friend again?"
"HUH!! What do you mean? Do you think I'll even consider that?"
Sohel let out a deep sigh and said, "You leave me no choice then."
Sohel had already cut the ropes tying him and Naomi with the knife he hid in his belt. He screamed, "Naomi, go!"
Sohel got up and ran to a guard while covering his face with his hands. Naomi too got up and ran towards another guard in the same way. The guards started shooting at them, but the bullets reflected off their bulletproof clothes. Both of them quickly took out the two guards and took their guns. Naser yelled, "Get them."
Eight to ten guards started shooting at them. They ran and took cover behind a control panel. Naomi took a look at the AK-47 in her hand and threw it away. She looked at Sohel and asked, "Do you still have the knife?"
Sohel smiled as he handed her the knife and said, "You want to get close to them? Good. Go. I'll provide supporting fire."
Naomi took the knife and flipped it. Sohel got out of the panel's cover and started shooting while Naomi ran from the side and got close to the guards. As she got close to a guard, the guard tried to hit her with the butt of his ak.
Naomi dodged the strike swiftly and got behind him. She held the guard from the back and whispered, "Good night," as she cut the throat of the guard. She left that one and moved to another. She took out three more while Sohel took out the other six. After the fighting stopped, Naomi ran to Jacob and Mitali and cut their ropes too. Sohel ran to the place where Naser was sitting and saw no one.
He whispers to ARIA, "Where is the backup?"
"Sir. I've sent the signal. They should be here in five minutes."
"Fuck. We don't have that time. Show me the UAV feed again."
ARIA projected the UAV feed. Sohel saw five people quickly moving towards the yard. He thought to himself, "That must be Naser."
He went back to his squad. He saw Naomi standing there anxiously. Jacob was lying on the floor, unconscious. Mitali was diagnosing him. Sohel asked Mitali about Jacob's injury.
Mitali replied, "He's bleeding internally. Thanks to the medical gear you gave me, I've given him intravenous TXA. But that's just a temporary solution. He needs ER attention ASAP."
Sohel said to Mitali, "You stay here and look after Jacob." He looked at Naomi and said, "You're with me. The army will be here in less than five minutes. We will stall him till they get here. Grab a gun and let's go."
Naomi flipped the knife in his hand and said, "I've got what I need right here."
Sohel laughed and said, "Of course you do."
Both of them got out of the control room and ran towards the front yard.
