Chapter 55 - Wakanda

Hatred that arises from patricide was beyond forgiveness. W'Kabi had applied numerous times to the king, asking for manpower to arrest Klaue, but the king had always refused. Despite harboring resentment, W'Kabi suppressed his anger, inheriting his father's responsibilities, and continued guarding the borders.

However, hatred doesn't diminish over time; it deepens. Klaue had almost become W'Kabi's inner demon.

Now, suddenly seeing Klaue's 'corpse,' W'Kabi first felt extreme joy, followed by confusion.

"Who are you?" he asked.

Erik didn't answer; instead, he flipped out his lower lip, revealing the special pattern carved with vibranium on the inside of his lip. This mark was equivalent to an identity card in Wakanda.

Then, Erik took out a ring from his pocket, a ring that symbolized a royal member. He found it among his father's belongings.

Upon seeing this ring, W'Kabi's pupils suddenly contracted. He discreetly gestured for the people around to disperse, leaving only him and Erik.

"Who are you?" W'Kabi asked again.

"I am N'jadaka, the son of Prince N'jobu."

Although W'Kabi had suspected it for a long time, hearing Erik confirm that he was the king's nephew still shocked him. He realized that he might be involved in the royal family's struggle.

He didn't know about the king killing his own brother, but being in the upper echelons, he had some political intuition. Logically speaking, how could the son of a prince end up as an outcast? W'Kabi could only think of two possibilities: either Erik's exile was purely accidental, or the king deliberately isolated him from Wakanda. In his view, the latter was more likely.

That's why W'Kabi persuaded the people in the tribe to leave, preventing any leak of information. Now, he needed to take Erik to see the king. What the king would do after seeing Erik was not his concern.

W'Kabi led Erik into the deep mountains, and then stopped in front of a cliff. He rotated the prayer beads on his hand, and in the next moment, a light screen opened.

Zane, who had been following them, revealed a brilliant smile. He had activated the [God's Absence] as soon as Erik got off the plane, and with the continuous enhancement from the "Magic Furnace," he could now hold his breath for more than 20 minutes. That's why he could stick around without revealing any flaws.

Countless magnetic levitation trains like in the movie Black Panther shuttled above the city at an invisible speed. Occasionally, small aircraft landed on tall buildings, showcasing Wakanda's advanced technology. It felt like stepping into a futuristic world.

Zane couldn't help but comment on why there was a bird's nest made of branches on the side of a well-built building. He also noticed residents walking barefoot below. Was this their tradition? They were supposed to be the most advanced country globally, so why did it feel like they were still living in tribal generations?

"N'jadaka, come with me. I'll take you to see the king."

"This place is really beautiful, just as my father described," Erik said, looking at Wakanda.

"Of course, Wakanda is the most beautiful place in the world," W'Kabi said proudly, evidently feeling deep pride as a Wakandan citizen.

"Unfortunately, you won't be able to see it in the future."

"What..."

Before W'Kabi could inquire further, Erik suddenly erupted with a speed no human should possess, smashing a molecular robot onto W'Kabi's face.

Three minutes later, W'Kabi woke up again, nodded towards Erik, and then, expressionless, walked out of Wakanda and back to the border tribe.

This was Zane's order. He didn't want outsiders interfering while he was dealing with Wakanda, nor did he want Wakandans leaking the true face of Wakanda to the world.

So, he let W'Kabi, who had already become one of his own, lead the border tribe to guard the borders. This time, they were not targeting external enemies but their fellow countrymen.

Wakanda had done well in managing its subordinates. The leaders of various tribes in Wakanda were hereditary. Through generations of training, their subordinates had become blindly obedient to their leaders. Now, in the border tribe, when W'Kabi gave the order, no one questioned it. They promptly surrounded Wakanda, ensuring that not even a fly could escape.

Without W'Kabi by his side, Zane's sudden visit (as Zane was clearly not a Wakandan) attracted the attention of Wakanda, which already had surveillance spread across the country.

While Zane was still criticizing Wakanda's customs, several small aircraft had surrounded them.

"Intruders, immediately kneel and surrender, or we will use force!"

"Intruders, immediately kneel and surrender, or we will use force!"

"Intruders, immediately kneel and surrender, or we will use force!"

Zane looked at the ruthless warning from these aircraft and smirked. This time, he would take on a whole country by himself!

Listening to the alarms on the small aircraft, Zane disdainfully sneered. He was here to invade, not to visit. Why bother listening to the clamor of these ants?

"You guys are noisy, you know that?"

With that, the "King's Vault" unfolded, and nine giant swords shot toward the nine aircraft.

But this time, the giant swords finally encountered resistance. As they were about to destroy the aircraft, a faint blue energy shield appeared on the surface of the aircraft.

The giant swords struggled for a while before barely breaking through the energy shield, but their power was depleted, and they had to return to the vault. This was due to the enchanted effect; otherwise, the shields would have easily repelled them.

This was within Zane's expectations. The weapons in the vault were temporary, and it was just a transitional phase.

After conquering Wakanda and obtaining all its technology and vibranium, the "King's Vault" could be updated. Then, who would still play with melee weapons? Energy cannons, laser beams, missiles, nuclear bombs—all would become available.

Moreover, with unlimited energy support, there was no fear of running out of power. Zane didn't have the luxurious treasures like Goldilocks, so he would stick to the scientific and technological path.
