"Oh , so this is the renowned Mr Andromeda ." Eyes followed the source of sound where they notice the man dressed in military clothes approach them . The man was none other than Fernando , the man that was suppose to have dinner with Maxwell Woods .
Mila watched the man nod his head at her for acknowledge , she thought . She did not do anything other than to watch the silver eyes asses the man who had just entered the hall . The man must be masking his emotions well or something because of the way he did not react to the piercing silver eyes . If she were the man , she would have been averting her gaze more than God can count how many times she had avoided those silver eyes.
She doesn't know why she stayed to watch the powerful men interact , but she stayed anyways .
"Pleasure to meet you Mr Andromeda . I introduce myself as Fernando , the Lieutenant General of the United states army ." The man introduced himself with a salute in head . Mila winced as the man and the few other men behind him stomp their shoes hard on the floor . The poor floor . She was sure her mother , from wherever she is , was now glaring at the men harshly and had even winched alongside with her . They are messing up with her floor .
"Likewise." The silver eyed man replied . Mila who has heard the respond of many men saying it and she has got the biggest ick , but this time , she felt nothing but the power seething out of the man . He said the word as if like brushing off the compliment as something he hears all the time . It is a subtle way to show his power and privilege without making a big show of it . It sounds like she is praising the man in her head and she went on to warn herself.
" I've heard about your contract with the military. It's quite an accomplishment ." Fernando said to the Mr Andromeda .
Maxwell Woods looked at the interaction between the two man . He thought of Fernando's words as a warning that he shouldn't double-cross this man . But what was the point when all that he is planning is to get rid of this man ?
"It truly is ." Mr Andromeda agreed . Fernando leaned over to the huge collection of what Mila had presumed to be large vases . The military men seemed to be interested in the silver eyed man too , just like the rest of the men in the room who soon approached them and started to invest in the conversation with him . Mr Andromeda's answers were short and subtle while his gaze would bounce to Mila once in a while which made the butterflies in her stomach flutter their wings in bliss .
She was still standing within the circle and still locking gazes with the man . The crowd laughed and she wasn't sure what they were laughing at , she was too distracted by him .
"So how was it like growing up to harsh training every single morning at a young age ?" Another man questioned the silver eyed man in the joy of bubble . Mila had never seen businessmen laugh truly , other than pretending wit- she was suddenly pulled by arm .
"Come and see what your friend is doing ." Jasmine said as she pulled her out of the room .
Mila took her time to get out of the silver bubble before she focused on Jasmine . She smiled lightly , anticipating to see what Sophia is up to . It possibly can not be Victoria because Sophia is the one always doing stupid shit that get's astonished reactions from people the most .
As they near the patio , Mila's smile disappears as she sees Sophia standing by the railings and looking down . It couldn't be Sophia now because she was standing infront of her and looking down at the ground with a wide fucking grin and gaping at what is down below .
What is Victoria doing? Mila could only question as she rushes over to the railings herself to look down .
Her mouth to gapes open and her eyes pop out of their socket . Victoria and Alexa are fiercely kissing near the pool . Mila could not believe her eyes.
"WOOP-WOOP!!" Sophia suddenly cheered next to Mila . She glanced at her friend who seemed happy to be catching the two in the moment . Jasmine's suppressed laugh behind her got Mila to turn and look at her younger sister. Now that she remembers , Jasmine's voice wasn't one of anger or annoyance when she pulled her away from the group .
Mila looks down to see Victoria standing alone and showing her middle finger to Sophia who was laughing her stomach out . "We caught you bitch!!!!" Sophia shouted and the two siblings laughed .
A sharp gasp resounded behind them . The three girls' heads sharply turned to look behind them . Charlotte Woods stood with her mouth parted and her eyes staring sharply at the girls . "Is this how you were raised ? To curse everywhere you go?" Their mother sharply spoke , directing the question to Sophia .
Jasmine winced at the sharpness of their mother's voice while Mila frowned . The latter's mouth parted but before a single word could escape her lips , her mother ordered strictly ," Get back to the party . Now ! It's your celebration and if you had wanted for it to partake in the patio , I would've arranged that !"
Before the girls could say anything , their mother stormed off . Sophia was the one to laugh lightly inbetween them . Her restrained laugh sounded like a snort before Jasmine followed and the two fell into a pit of laughter .
Mila looked at Jasmine with a questioning gaze and a half smile ," Jas , are you drunk?" Mila questioned .
Jasmine tried to stop laughing and responded ," Obvii ! What ... no ," her expression turned to one of confusion ,"how can I be drink ? I am op-viously drunk , not drink ." After Jasmine's words , she and Sophia boisterously laughed . "Or drinked ." Sophia said inbetween their loud laughs . "Or dranked." Jasmine said and they fell into laughter .
Mila watched them for a while until Victoria appeared . Victoria's hooded eyes turn to look at the two laughing before she eyed Mila . The latter shrugged her shoulders in a 'i do not know either' typa way before she spoke ," Can you please watch over them , I have to go back to the celebration before my mother comes back and shouts at me ."
Victoria laughed and Mila could tell she heard her mother . "Cool ." Victoria said and Mila headed back to the celebration.
Mila heard the two rivals that she never thought could laugh like that together slopperly tell Victoria that they saw her and Alexa kissing . She wasn't halfway through the hall where the celebration takes place when she saw a man approaching her . And even from afar , the silver eyes still have an effect on her .
