Tokyo was in chaos after witnessing a beam of light illuminate the night; several people began to panic. They feared a new 'Lost Christmas' might occur.
The same turmoil unfolded at CGQ headquarters, where everyone nervously stared at the screen. "Quick! Send all units!" commanded a dark-skinned man, furrowing his brow while observing the display. "Yes, sir!" promptly responded the soldier in charge of the Endlave.
After a few seconds, multiple Endlave units were dispatched.

Once the light subsided, Inori and Yuki still held hands. The crystallization of Yuki's body had halted, though various parts remained crystallized, gradually fading away.
"This is not good... We need to leave," Yuki knew that after the beam of light, the Antibodies wouldn't stand idly by, especially after their Biological Weapon had been stolen.
"Yes," Inori agreed, nodding.
[Zafkiel]
Yuki attempted to call his angel, planning to escape through the shadows, but both his astral suit and angel didn't manifest. Yuki furrowed his brow; this had never happened before.
( I understand, the fusion isn't complete yet) "Tch... How annoying!" Using his Sharingan, Yuki observed that the virus-chakra fusion was still in its early stages, consuming his chakra while merging. Although the crystals on his body were fading, Yuki realized this was a slow process.
Calling Zafkiel using chakra wasn't possible; his chakra was undergoing an evolution, and using it at this moment was risky. Yuki didn't want to experience blood crystallization again.
However, he could still call Zafkiel using his life force, but this was a significant no. Without chakra, Yuki was just a human with enhanced physical abilities. Yuki couldn't help but click his tongue at this.
"Yuki, what's wrong?" Seeing Yuki's furrowed brow, Inori asked with concern.
"For now, I can't use my powers... We need to get out of here differently."
"No problem." Nodding, Inori was accustomed to changing plans, though she wasn't comfortable being engulfed in darkness.
Without wasting time, they ran, aware that staying longer risked getting caught.
Yet, that's precisely what happened.
Yuki stopped, furrowing his brow. "They're faster than I thought..."
"Um," exchanging glances with Inori, Yuki murmured. He was surprised by how quickly the soldiers of this world acted, as expected from a technologically advanced society. Yuki secretly praised them; even the Anbu in the shinobi world wouldn't be this fast.
Drones and Endlave surrounded the abandoned building, both on the ground and in the air.
"This is bad, we're surrounded," Inori also frowned, looking at the numerous Endlave.
"Escaping in these circumstances is a bit problematic... For now, put this on." Yuki handed Inori an Anbu mask and donned his own.
Inori tilted her head in confusion, but she decided to follow his instructions. Satisfied with her nod, Yuki looked back at the Endlave. If he could use Zafkiel, escaping would be easy, but he didn't want to risk another virus relapse.
Using his life force was also out of the question; devouring people wasn't a pleasant experience. Sighing in defeat, Yuki thought that escaping alone was easier than the two of them fleeing together.
"Inori, you mentioned you were part of a group, right? Can you contact them?"
Inori stared into Yuki's eyes before nodding expressionlessly. "Good, do it. You have 5 minutes; call your team and escape from this place."
"Escape? Alone? Aren't you coming?"
"No." Shaking his head, Yuki pointed at the Endlave. "We need a decoy; it's easier to escape if someone attracts attention."
"But... Then, I..."
"No time, Inori." Interrupting Inori's words, Yuki looked at her with a furrowed brow. "I'm not as weak as you think. It's better for both of us to escape separately. Trust me."
Inori hesitated, looking at Yuki's virus-affected body. She couldn't help but worry; after all, he had nearly died not long ago.
"It's time for you to go. Don't worry; I'll meet you after this."
Yuki smiled beneath his mask, but Inori clenched her teeth. "5 minutes. If you don't return by then, I'll look for you," Inori declared with a determined look.
Yuki raised his eyebrows before laughing. "Of course, 5 minutes. I'll be with you after 5 minutes."
Inori's expression eased a bit. "Let's go, Funell." Taking the small robot in her arms, Inori separated from Yuki but turned her head after a few steps.
Yuki responded to her gaze with a nod. Seeing this, Inori didn't hesitate and quickly contacted her team through the robot.
Watching her retreating back, Yuki couldn't help but sigh. Honestly, he still felt like crap.
But he was also excited; the blood in his veins couldn't help but boil for the impending battle. He knew that escaping with Inori was difficult; her body couldn't match the speed of his well-trained one. He didn't want to carry her, still curious about this new world and wanting to test the limits of his body—how long it would take before crystallization began, even without chakra.
And these soldiers were the perfect test for many plans running through his mind.
"Now then... Let the party begin." With a smile on his face, Yuki couldn't help but remember a certain shinobi in green and black hair.
---
"Remember! Even without Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, you can be a great shinobi using only Taijutsu."
The fire in his eyes burned, and the smile on his face was dazzling.
"Let the flame of youth explode!"
---
Shaking his head, Yuki really liked the freedom with which Guy moved.
"Using it only to protect a loved one, huh?" With a smile on his face, Yuki crouched, removing the weights on his feet.
